I finally saw the Snowpiercer (2013) movie. It was really good. The graphic novel, film and TV series are all different yet still have much of the same theme.
Curtis from the movie is way better than Layton from the TV series. Wilford from the TV series is way better than Wilford from the movie, he was lame as fuck even though I hate the TV series Wilford. The Melanie TV series character is way better than the gook movie druggies. While I do enjoy Tilda Swinton playing archangels and boy-girl characters, she way overdid it in the movie and I couldn't stand her or those nasty dentures. Seemed more like a Harry Potter character.
I've recorded and will watch soon The Lion King, 2019 version with realistic animals. I've got a bad (but thankfully foggy) memory of something adapted from a animals-only cartoon to a movie with real/realistic animals before, where speech of the character was removed, and the result was quite shitty. Now I hope this won't be the same. In any case, I'm not sure it will be something rewatchable, but once should be ok, out of curiosity.
Been watching so much retro shows because most modern ones suck ass. I'm really into Maude lately and have laughed out loud at it nearly every episode. Love the opening theme song.
Currently reading the manga Eat-man, that has that unique style...is it the 90s?The 80s?Other? Make me wonder, not just for manga, if this kind of style is the beautiful relic of a time where ecchi appeared casually, because there weren't abusive laws yet on that matter, yet it was still quite "clean" thanks to the authors modesty. Not yet having an external oppression that lead to modern ecchi/hentai going overboard just for rebellion or something like that... (...) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

Forgot to mention "Laser Tag Academy" and "Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater".
One side of my brain said God of Egypt's CGI is weak but the other said it's supposed to look surreal instead of realistic given the film's fantasy setting.
Watching PJ Masks, Team Zenko Go, StarBeam, Sharkdog,Trash Truck, The Creature Cases, Ridley Jones and Archibald's Next Big Thing on Netflix is awesome! Simply because there are Japanese dubs and I've never watched any Western animations dubbed in Japanese before.

Met Gala. I watched a little bit of it for the fashion and noticed there was a bald looking woman and I couldn't tell who she was.
Turns out it was Kim Kardashian who is a pig and she was actually wearing the real dress that Marilyn Monroe wore when she sang Happy Birthday to JFK. She had bleached her hair and it was tied back tight and looked stupid af and wore the dress on loan from the Ripley's Believe It or Not museum that keeps it in a temp and light controlled room as it's the most expensive dress in the world.
She only had it on her pig body for 3 minutes then changed into a replica. Now I read they gave her a lock of Marilyn's hair! I now hate Ripley's for soiling that classic dress and disrespecting MM's hair. I can't understand why Kim Kardashian didn't just wear a replica and a wig. She looked like a fool as usual and pissed everyone off.
The Kentucky Derby 80-1 long shot Rich Strike won the big race! The second biggest long shot winner in Derby history. Wow, that was something. I was watching the races all day and it was fun to see the kooky hats and beautiful race horses.
As they were leading that little red horse up to the gate and saying how it replaced a horse that had been scratched from the race the day before, I had a feeling it was going to win. The jockey had never been in a derby before and he did a good job. The horse shot down the homestretch and seemed like it didn't want to stop afterward. It got feisty after it knew it won. Now it's valuable and is going to bang lady horses the rest of its life.
Jeopardy champion Mattea Roach from Canada finally got ousted. She lost during Final Jeopardy by $1 due to the freaky betting. Everyone was like WTF, did that just happen? I think she was getting tired of being there anyway and can finally go home. She won a good bankroll and I hope she uses some of it to fix her nasty yellow rotten looking teeth.
[en.wikipedia.org] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DC_League_of_Super-Pets No, I don't agree with this chara design. If between Krypto and Ace, one get to be fat, it should definitely be Krypto. I can completely imagine many versions of Superman to spoil Krypto rotten into obesity, while on the other hand, Batman, the guy so strict in training and action he has to change his Robin every month, to the point his insurance dropped all support, there's no way he would let his dog end up like that.
When I look at that definition, it feels like it could be something to define me, but until now, I've seen it used differently: to define (insult?) people that feel like they are rude to most people they encounter (it was used by Sam&Max about Conroy Bumpus in Sam&Max Hit the Road)
Now a very rotund man has been the Jeopardy champion. He always looks like he's going to cry when he wins. He's just in disbelief at his nerdly abilities. It seems like he's getting tired like they all do when they've been there a while.
I've been watching Jeopardy because there's nothing much else on in that time slot that I'm interested in. When it comes to Final Jeopardy, I've always had this uncanny ability to get it correct most of the time. You have to look at the clues in the way they word it, subject matter, years, places, etc.
Whoever has been styling Mayim Bialik lately is doing a good job, her hair finally looks decent. She's OK as a host but I do prefer Ken Jennings.
Oh, fuck. Someone decided to capitalize on Winnie the Pooh after the character went into public domain. The upcoming film is titled "Winnie the Pooh: Blood & Honey" and the worst part of it is it's a slasher film.

Yikes, I looked into it, hoping to see "announced on April 1st" or "release programmed for April 1st", or something like that, but I saw nothing of the sort. I didn't search thoroughly enough to exclude the possibility that it may have been a joke that went wrong, but I don't really want to. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)
