Just found out a company from China owned Malaysian streaming service iflix since last year. At the same time, iflix's app is no longer found on Google Play Store. RIP (Ripped in Pieces) iflix Malaysia.

Never knew iflix existed to begin with.

I just go to a public library and rip their DVD's, usually, if it's something that isn't super obscure or unavailable through other means. I get higher quality that way.

Sometimes I can rip the blu ray discs, too, but that depends on how new they are.

Media in 2021 is as delayed as media in 2020. These Covid shoots have to cost an arm and a leg.

The movie The Public Enemy (1931) with James Cagney is pretty brutal. I've seen it before and remember the ending being shocking. I watched it again when it came on TCM last night and forgot that Jean Harlow was in it looking very art deco-ish.

Cagney is a tough gangster who slaps women around and shoves a grapefruit into the face of one of them, hates his brother, kills a childhood friend, shoots a horse, gets drunk by his crime boss's girlfriend who then slinks into the bedroom and rapes him and he smacks her in the face the next morning for it. He's really vicious to everyone through the entire thing except his mother and Jean Harlow's character. It's a pre-code film and they used live ammo in those days. In a machine gun scene, Cagney ducked around a wall that was blasted out seconds later by real bullets. It's a good movie.

On the Hell's Kitchen season finale, Kori won. The entire season she was a quiet mouse and never said or did much to stand out. But she was better for the job than Mary Lou who seemed too immature. And that purple wig she wore was awful. She's a pretty girl and didn't need it.

Then on RuPaul's Drag Race, Symone won the crown. I had a feeling s/he'd win it. The finale was on an hour and a half but the last half hour was what I should've watched, the first hour was too much like a drag circus with hideous clowns. I changed it to reruns of Ghost Adventures a few times to get a dose of testosterone.

LOL. In the Malay dub of Home: Adventures of Tip & Oh, the term "Temporal Dilator" was translated as "Penangguh Kematian" - literally the "Death Delayer".

We've been getting Showtime free for a few days. How many channels do they have now? They all suck. They also show films I've already seen on regular cable. The recently made films made me glad I'll never step foot in a movie theater ever again because they're garbage and have way too many boring dragged out time wasting scenes.

The movie 1917 (2019) was very well directed with insane camerawork but the story didn't move me at all and that ruined it. Time wasting scenes.

The Woman in Black (2012) showcased Daniel Radcliffe which was nice but it was boring AF and not scary at all. Time wasting scenes.

Limitless (2011) was interesting but the special effect camerawork made me ill. Bradley Cooper reminded me a lot of Ralph Fiennes with his eyes and face. Fast paced but I don't want to see it again.

Relic (2020) was pure shit. Time wasting scenes.

Ex Machina (2014) was another shitty one. I thought internet porn removed the need to have completely naked women in movies. Could you imagine watching that with your family? God damn, that whole thing was dumb. No wonder Hollywood is tanking.
