I just read that Tony Gwynn passed away from cancer. I can't fucking believe it, I'm in shock. Last I heard, I knew he had health problems but I had no idea he was that ill. He died of cancer at the age of 54. I thought he was much older than that.

Tony was a one of those great pure hitters that you rarely see know a days. Also one of those few guys who stuck with their team through their entire career. Real class act guy too.

And the only other player I can think of that can be mentioned in the same breath as Ted Williams.

I'd read some Hugo Pratt.

I'm watching the local news and it's so heartbreaking to see them reporting it. The footage of him playing back in the day brings back memories of when we'd go to baseball games all the time at the stadium before the ballpark was built.

And now today, everyone is leaving flowers at his statue near Petco Park in his memory.

Gwynn died of cancer today at the age of 54. But his memory will live on forever in the hearts of so many Padres fans.

First Junior Seau and now Tony Gwynn. The end of an era. I'll truly miss it.

Wondering what to post.

Mildly disappointed with the conclusion the Reflections arc of the MLP:FiM comic. The ending was so sad and the alternate Sombra became a tragic character.
