So I listened to the new Linkin Park album two or three times, just to make sure I wouldn't judge it in a sour mood and throw off the likability of the record. I gotta say, I only like one song on there and it's not even that good; it just sounds good on my powerful speakers in the car. Then there is the hook in one song with awesome lyrics, but those 15 seconds are not worthy enough to redeem the rest of the song:
"You told me yes, you held me high
And I believed when you told that lie
I played soldier, you played king
Struck me down when I kissed that ring
You lost that right, to hold that crown
I built you up but you let me down
So when you fall, I'll take my turn
And fan the flames as your blazes burn"
My sentiments towards America. I don't even know what the song was about, as it was shitty, but I really like that small part. Anyways, I give the album a 4/10.
