Just watched the Hatfields and McCoys on the History channel. I am absolutely loving it. I'm glad they didn't decide to have it narrated or have those history experts comment on it. The Geico commercial where the caveman's an HR guy and calls in a Hatfield and McCoy was funny. Right at the end, he then calls in a Hamilton and Burr. Please tell me someone besides me gets this joke. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

The History Channel has become absolute garbage these days. It seems like the only fucking thing on there is Hardcore Pawn or American Pickers.

Unfortunately, yes. It seems a huge number of people watch that stuff though. Almost every network is trying to cash in on all the "Reality" hype right now. Right now, History has the highest ratings because of it. I blame the consumers for choosing to view garbage.

I can't stand reality shows where they follow people around in their homes and the people are famous for nothing like The Kardashians, Real Housewives, etc. Fuck, I hate those and anything resembling those. There's a new one out about Clint Eastwood's ugly wife and annoying family. God, who gives a shit about what people do in their houses? I do, however, watch competition shows like Top Chef and Hell's Kitchen, but I don't really categorize those as reality shows, although I think they are. QUOTE(radixius @ May 29 2012, 07:59) wat

Completely agree on this. I don't understand what's so entertaining about watching (created) drama of people you don't care about or give a crap what they do. If anything, if people just stopped watching the "reality tv stars" they watch, those "stars" wouldn't be celebrities and be what they really are, attention whores no one really cares about who are trying to make a dime and get a bit of fame on the way as well. Well, then again I guess you can't really blame them for cashing in on their 15 minutes of fame when mindless people are willing to watch them as entertainment. Top Chef and Hell's Kitchen and other sorts of shows are fun to watch though, like Survivor and shows similar to that are considered reality tv shows but they're a different genre from the typical "The Kardashians" type of reality tv show. I just don't like the ones where you follow "celebrities" in their daily life of made up drama just for the hell of it. This post has been edited by hehsy5sy5: May 29 2012, 21:29

I like that show, but it can run together pretty quickly if you watch a lot of it back to back. That, and too many in-show Subway ads (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif).

You know, if we reformed copyright law, it would likely trigger a change in song licensing/royalties, so the music in commercials wouldn't be so shitty. That alone is a terrific reason to do it.

You think Abe Lincoln being a Vampire Hunter is a horrible idea? How about Abe Lincoln fighting against an undead army? [ www.imdb.com] Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies

Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter looks awesome in that awful, campy, cheese-tastic way. Its about one of the country's greatest presidents beating the crap out of shitty vampires, how can it NOT be hilarious and bad?

Agreed. As much as I hate how Hollywood ruins everything and turns it into absolute crap, I wouldn't mind watching this cheesy movie. The first time I saw the trailer for it, I thought now they're ruining Abraham Lincoln? Is nothing sacred? But then the more I saw the trailer, the more I thought it looked kinda funny-terrible in a cool way. I especially like the part when he spins the axe over his head. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTI2KJvNJOsAt 1:30. Lol, Abe the badass. This post has been edited by Tenseigamoon: Jun 3 2012, 23:23

I am gay(Well, sort of) and don't find that guy attractive, to be honest. I might have bad taste though.... Maybe it's his personality he referred to? This post has been edited by Cloudkitty: Jun 4 2012, 04:22

Cut off some hair from his eyebrows, put it on his head, and he should be alright.
