That Speed Racer movie was on so I watched some of it. The CG was terrible and the overall cartoony look of everything was just a bad idea.

My professor always told us to "Assume your audience knows nothing of the topic." It's good practice to spell out anything that is long first and then abbreviate it for the rest of the document.
