Why do you think I grew up fearing my mother? I had to grow up tough or not grow up at all.

Aye, the only person I fear more than my roommate with a knife would be my dad. Parents: you love 'em, cause you learn that it's safer that way (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Too scrawny to fight, but that's why I learned how to run (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) & hop fences for if/when the truck comes out.

I never strike back. I merely dodge.

Like a French boss.

Trying to bring back a bit of culture in the corner, but I'm not sure I'm doing it right.

French stuff is neat, good wine, desserts, didn't know the French dodged though (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) for fighting by culture though, I like Russian sambo & the Philippines martial art (the name of which slips my mind).
Don't think Canada has much in the way of cultural fighting style (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Evading, dodging, dropping weapons, raising a white flag and running away are part of the same skill tree.

As for gastronomy, I'm not really interested into food (BMI was 16.4 before my slight break, it's 18 now), so that won't help me praise my country. :3

Also, I hate snails, cheese, and frog legs. All of them taste awful to me.

Don't know much about french cuisine (oh the irony) and I usually grab the spanish wine rather than the french, but that's rather because spanish wine is often refined with other fruit and tastes a lot sweeter. I love sweet wine (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

I don't know much about wines, but I do stick to the California moscatos for the most part. Probably because I'm from California. Just like my favorite beer is Arrogant Bastard, because I can be quite an arrogant bastard.

I actually had some chocovin the other day, dark chocolate blended with red wine, absolutely incredible! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I like a good variety of wine, as long as it has flavour. If it's bland, I won't touch it.

The only things I cook and eat are ground beef, soup, rice and pasta. Without any kind of seasoning. Mostly because I'm a bad cook.

But that's also because my stomach will go berserk if I attempt to eat anything else than that. I can't even eat ice cream anymore.

Tried taking less red meat & more greens? It "supposed" to be the healthier choice, gotta watch for those bad cholesterol levels. So sad that you can't have ice-cream anymore, that means more for the rest of us. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Maybe you should also try taking up cooking lessons from around your neighbourhood, get some cooking tips from the pretty moms, maybe...maybe even have some dessert after lessons? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

Actually, I'm blending 7 kinds of vegetables in the soups I make, so greens are included in my diet. As for cholesterol, I don't have enough of it, just like sugar. And the only kind I have obviously is the bad one (LDL).

LTYT : Yeah, maybe I should try white meat again, but I need something that isn't too chewy, because I easily choke on stuff and have bad teeth. Chicken breast might work but it makes you gassy.

LLTYT : Feeling like an old hag at 25 is hilarious. :3

That must be the reason why you sound so depressed at times! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

OTOH, I probably take way too much sugar and protein in my diet, but 'sOK, I guess, I'm not growing fat and didn't get diabeetus either, so far. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Nah, SAD+APD+DPD+GID = chronic depression (with only the first one being officially diagnosed).
Unless that was intended to be a joke. :3

Watch out for diabeetus Mk. II. My father is hyperactive and has non-purging bulimia (he just never stops eating, even at night), and since he's batshit scared of doctors, we had to force him to take a blood test. Bingo. It's nothing life-threatening compared to Mk. I as long as you get regular checkups, but it's still a PITA.

Get regular blood tests if they get refunded in Germany so that you can check your blood sugar level, unless you're scared of syringes of something. I have a friend who literally collapses whenever he sees one and it's also a PITA to get some blood from him. :3

Someone like that went with me once when I was donating blood (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) The nurses were more worried about her than me. Also, mildly curious about the soup you make, I want to try & make more myself (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The Mad Men season premier was two hours long. They showed a closeup of an infant's ass and part of its balls when Redhead Bigtits was changing its diaper, which was utterly disgusting and totally not necessary, and they said "shit" a few times throughout, which was cool. I wish all the cussing on TV was uncensored. It makes it so much better.

I especially wish South Park was shown on TV with the hardcore cussing left intact. Last week's episode was actually funny and it would've been even better with being able to hear Cartman saying "fuck" a million times the way he usually does instead of hearing an annoying bleep instead.

Carrots, potatoes, green beans, celery, leeks, turnips and onions. Taste and texture mostly depend on portions you choose to add in for each of them.

You could also add tomatoes but that will make your soup sour. I like tomatoes, just not in a soup.

Sounds intriguing, not much of one for turnips, but otherwise, neat (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Could use a yam though... everything's better with yams (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

They seriously remade Dark Shadows as a movie with Johnny Depp as Barnabas? And I think it's supposed to be a comedy. From what I've seen of the trailer, it looks absolutely ridiculous, like in a horribly bad way.

Are they kidding? Why?! Do they really have to fuck up everything that was awesome? That's an old epic classic vampire soap opera and according to Wikipedia, some of the original members will be in it making cameo appearances. Oh, my Christ, Hollywood, please stop.
