(Sorry for the possible melodramaticism, I feel poetic this evening...)
Due to my social status, combined with my mental mishaps, I am forced to put a threefold effort into everything, while all those rich kids in my class simply get it like that, be it free time, tools and books, or any other means of passing exams more easily or fullfilling whatever dreams they have.
My classmates have no motivation because everything is laid out before their feet, I have none because I might not be allowed to study due to my constant financial situation, needless to say that I will probably even have to pay the debts of my parents.
I am the sacrifice that society has to make to continue working for those who benefit from it, a perfectly raised and educated piece of scum, hating and loathing everything in sight, but still too civilised to simply pull the plug or cause any collateral damage. Take me away from here.
On the other hand, your standard of life is better than this of pretty much everyone, including kings and royal families and courts, from 400 years ago. It's only in comparison with other people that it looks like you have it worse. Try to disregard other people and focus on your life, the time you have, and the ways to make it more enjoyable by making getting money more efficient.
I got public education, but was driven to learn about making games, because I wanted to make games I'd want to play. Now my abilities bring me enough money to have free time even though I'm satisfied with making games and not driven to make any better ones. I probably could work less, but I prefer to spend 8 hours a day working to keep these abilities on the level. This drive, this belief that that's what I want to do got me there, not money. Exams, certificates and other pieces of paper mean nothing compared to real ability to get things done. No amount of money can get your rich classmates get the know-how if they're not interested, and with Internet available, when you want to learn something, you don't need to pay other people to teach it to you.
There are places where people get hired based on pieces of paper, and do nothing when hired, only pretend they're needed. The whole systems that allow such inefficiency and incompetence eventually go down, go bankrupt if they're private, or get reformed if they're a state. Or revolution happens. You don't want to work in a place like this, and pretend to be something to take money for doing nothing.
And fulfilling a dream destroys it. The harder it is, the better. I can't get any new really meaningful ones for years now and life is empty.

No, it isn't, and comparing things like that is stupid anyway. Having an internet connection is easier to achieve than having enough food everyday. Time is a myth for me, the free time that I have is immediately being destroyed by the people I am forced to live with, plotting shenanigans to get on the computer without being watched is my favourite pastime.

I still go to school, and the only thing that matters is what is written on the paper. I am handicapped, it sounds stupid and attention-whoreish, but that's simply how it is. I learned most everything I know via internet and TV, that's how bad school is around here, therefor there neat little books that perfectly explain everything needed to pass the exam for about 20€ each, that was my whole point behind the rich-kid-thing. Educational support is plentiful, but those who cannot afford it will have to make do with the horrible and inconsistent explanations of the lesser media, i.e. the internet, when something is good, it costs money, when it's for free, then you need to search for long and chunk everything up and distill it yourself, takes time that I don't usually get.

I plan on attending university, but as long as I'm not there, paper is all that matters, as I already said. My current goal is getting out of this shithole and attending university ASAP, everything will be better then, I know it already now, I have planned out everything near-perfectly, even from the bad position that I am in to begin with. But, as I said, any possibilites that are left for somebody in my position are almost always cancelled by my state of mind. For the third time: My point is, that when you're poor AND near-retarded, you're basically fucked.

Teachers keep telling me that I should simply forget it and go get a working class job. Not because I'm too dumb, but because my lack of concentration, among many other little disorders, simply prevent me from reaching my potential.
When I write something as pessimistic and self-important as that post, then you can be certain that I have put enough thought into it to validify such melodrama. So, jokes on you, my, form my perspective, very successful pal.

I don't think what you wrote contradicts at any point what I wrote. Rather, the perspectives fit together.

Your teachers are stupid. But you said that. I don't think you have much to worry about, as the way you write and think tells me you'll achieve better situation in life eventually.

Where did I write that it's a wrong position, or whining, or anything that's bad to do? I agree with your assessment, and I say 'don't lose heart', is all.

Well, you didn't exactly reference to my post anyway, rather explained your own situation, and thus, I probably misconceived it as an attempt to wrong me out of principle. The only thing I didn't actually agree with was that comparsion "There are always people who have it worse" While that might be true, those people live in an entire system that is like that, where nobody has the chance to aspire to something greater, I don't like that comparsion in general, though.
I'm sorry for taking your posts into the wrong neck, I just felt like whining a bit, because everbody is entitled to on the internet, I was just pissed that the next lowest social class to mine would be "homeless".
On other news: I threw one hell of a patriotic speech in the english exam and got extra credits for it. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

OMG, Mondo won Project Runway All Stars and not Austin Scarlett? OMG.
During After the Runway, you could tell Austin was totally peeved as he sat there in his top hat and tux doing his sideways glances and blinking his eyes in annoyance. But he took it like a proper lady, I must say. They presented him with a gift basket of L'Oreal products and he took his hat off and zhuzhed his hair right there on set, engulfing everyone in an angry cloud of hairspray.
I might give "A song of Ice and fire" a second shot. I was mostly appalled due to the new-wave-of-hipster-film-filled-to-the-brim-with-sex-and-swearing-esque screen version of "a Game of thrones", and because I'm generally not the fan of stories that tell about the meddlings of regal ratfuckers... but that whole concept of the "Othres" got me interested again.
Gonna finish all my Tolkien books, the shit I have to read for school, Werther and Dante first, though. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
Oh, now that 413 reminds me of it: I wonder if it would be okay to watch the Hunger games movie to decide about the quality of the book, because I really don't wanna bother finding out the hard way....

That's a really bad way of determining the quality of a book. A screen adaptation, by the very nature of the beast, has to have something interesting happen at least once every three to five minutes. Unfortunately for the masses, interesting is "boobs" or "cursing" or "decapitation".
There's not too much cursing or boning in the books, at least by comparison, but it's definitely more harsh than other books of their ilk.
Books are shit sandwiches and the movies they're based on are poop soup.
Also, haha, Kim Kardashian got flour bombed. God, I wish all of those idiots would go away. We finally got rid of Paris Hilton and now those assholes are plaguing the world.

I want to know what idiot thought it would be a good idea to throw flour on a "celebrity" like her. "Hey, I don't like this person, so let's give her more undeserved publicity!"

It's all planned, DON'T YOU SEE THE SIGNS!!??
Thought: Goshabum, I want a decent laptop, fruity loops and a day off. :/ ....or at leats some motivation... yeah, that'd be pretty cool, too......

The woman threw flour on her to protest her wearing fur. I didn't even know furriers still existed. Ew. That's so two centuries ago. Jesus Christ, wear faux fur, you dumb whore. I can't stand any of those spoiled, ugly, undeserving Kardashian cunts.

Ah, okay, I misunderstood the point of the gesture.
She wasn't actually wearing fur at the time but she has a closet full of fur jackets and vests and she wears them quite often. Poor little animals are treated horribly and sometimes skinned alive. PETA claims to not be involved and some were saying it was a publicity stunt because it happened at an event where she was promoting her perfume. The chick who did it called her a fur hag. She should have called her a fat ass, too.
That would've been funny if someone did that to Charlie Sheen but instead of flour they used cocaine. Total coke bomb. He would have snorted it all off of himself and the red carpet.

I'm not saying its a bad book, because I enjoyed it, but if you've got greater things planned like authors and books you've been meaning to read for a while, then read those first.
