I'm going to move to Columbia and pitch a Spanish language version of King of the Hill entitled "Rey del Montaña".

It stars Hernando Montaña and his family, a wife named Perdita and a son name Roberto. Hernando works as a drug runner for a local kingpin, mostly dealing with cocaine and cocaine accessories.

That's all I have for now.

Fear Factory's Genetic Blueprint is pretty awesome from seven seconds into it until about a minute and five. Then I hate the whole thing with a passion.

I've watched the first Silent Hill movie. Not a great movie. But at least now I know what the game's plot was all about. I'll probably watch the sequel as well.

For all I've heard about the 3DS having a short battery life, this one sure takes for-fucking-ever to shut off. I'm trying to drain you on purpose, you bastard.

EDIT: Wrong stupid thread. I am stupid.

A video game movie actually sticking to the video game plot? Have you not seen the Resident Evil movies? Or any video game move adaptations for that matter?!

Although, to be fair, Silent Hill the movie was a lot closer to Silent Hill the video game than Resident Evil was to its game.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I've played all the Silent Hills (never beat part 4 though, I only rented it and didn't have time to finish it before returning it) so I know the plot from the movie kinda gathers aspects of each of the games and tries to make some sort of cohesive meta-story. While it fails to be true to the game at least its watchable and the atmospheric settings are pretty well incorporated.

Can you believe the studio rejected a completed Resident Evil script penned by George Romero that incorporated characters from the video game?

I actually liked the movie. It was nice for somebody who didn't have to compare it to the games.

And there's your answer. Studios don't give a shit about games. They think fans of videogames are some little niche market, so they change the premise and everything for the movie in order to try and cater to the public at large. They don't care how much they insult the fans of the game; they're trying to hook moviegoers. It's stupid, but studios do the same with books and even TV shows adapted to movies as well. They care nothing for the art; they design the movie by committee thinking they'll make more money that way.

If only I could have gotten the day off work, I could have gone just a bit up the road to infiltrate Harvard for a day. She was right in my back yard and I couldn't get to her! Bahhhh!

So Harvard is a euphemism for hook-ups now?

Making a track that's only a minute and a few seconds long, and that's alright.

EDIT: Ah, yes, there it is, a minute and eight seconds. Glorious.

Whoa, wait. I just looked up at the TV for a second and saw a commercial. Was that Kirstie Alley wearing fairy wings in a pink dress not looking like a fat pig and throwing pantyliners at someone?
