Second Wind and Powerup Gems
- The random Second Wind effect has been removed.
- Health Gems now recover 100% of base health, up from 25%.
- Mana Gems now recover 50% of base Mana, up from 25%.
- The restoration effect from Health, Mana and Spirit Gems is now instant. Obviously, this means you can now use them at the same time as potions and other restoratives.
Can we stop get fire/ice/lighting/wind shield gems? They are totally useless but cost of turns and decrease the chance of useful gems.

I agree. I do find SOME small use to the fire shield because enemies burn for pretty heavy damage, but overall its a hassle to see one pop up and have to use it right away in case you should miss a health or mana gem.

I also agree with this. The changes to Health and Mana gems are appear to be useful when you're in it for the long haul, because you can save them and use them whenever you need a meaningful refill. However, as a lower level player, the removal of Second Wind makes the Arenas even more difficult. The highest Arena I currently have access to is only 14 rounds long, so the chance that I'm actually going to be able to find a Health or Mana gem at a respectable frequency is pretty small, especially when they're competing with 6 other gems for the drop (5 of which are completely useless to me). Second Winds were random, but they were more frequent than Health and Mana Gems in my available Arenas. This post has been edited by n125: Apr 25 2011, 14:26

If shitgems are removed the droprate has to be lowered or people will have to many mana gems and free channelings (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) --- I just found a bug:Energy Drink does not auto restock in battle. This will become a problem in long ass Arenas.

NOOOOO, mages have been nerfed hardcore :| If there's a 5% rate of a gem, 0.625% chance of getting a mana gem... Well maybe its just me, time to go back to normal (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) That and I swear conquest101 appears in every battle for me..

Doubtful... since the maximum number of rounds in an arena is 500, and if you need the bonus you only ever need to use one energy drink (1 energy drink = 400 rounds, and you can always make sure you have over 80% to start with)

Looks like Sword&Board/Fridge tanks are back in style! 2H is going to be extremely painful, especially if all domino strikes proc + bleeding = (angry mob with +50% damage)! This plus the fact that most custom monsters are full-retard DPS/strength builds means it's now one shot or be one shotted! Love the health/mana gem change; they are actually noticeably more useful. R.I.P second wind. You will be missed.

Man, this hurts. get killed with half HP bar remaining!! Second winds missing sure is a pain and the gems doesn't do good since they do not drop frequent as second winds!!

No second wind seems tough, I need to use potions to get through average item 60 level item world now (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Hopefully that's just because I'm in the middle of transitioning into a mage. And I got one of those maze puzzles. I have no problem with it, it takes less time than writing a captcha and the buff is useful.
