It's useless only for us, high level players who don't "need" to level up, but for lower levels they're still important.

Imo the long arenas have the vs 1 or 2 mobs because the way he coded them, probably "they can't" lower the number of mobs as you go farther. It doesn't make sense their existence in the first place, it's a lot easier beating 9 mobs, being 5 of them uncommon, than 1 single legendary.
