One problem. A monster seems not agitated immediately if it's under conditions, even with less than 20% hp.
3 9 You gain 50 Credits! 3 8 You gain 2636.99 EXP! 3 7 You are Victorious! 3 6 Fire Fox has been defeated. 3 5 Searing Skin hits Fire Fox for 474 damage. 3 4 You evade the attack from Fire Fox. 3 3 Fire Fox is agitated! 3 2 You are healed for 2250 Health Points. 3 1 You cast Cure II. 2 2 Recovered 187 points of magic. 2 1 You use Mana Gem. 1 16 Searing Skin hits Fire Fox for 474 damage. 1 15 Fire Fox hits you for 186 slashing damage. 1 14 Mind Raper has been defeated. 1 13 Flames of Loki hits Mind Raper for 9089 fire damage. 1 12 Zombie Cow has been defeated. 1 11 Flames of Loki hits Zombie Cow for 6457 fire damage. 1 10 Fire Fox gains the effect Searing Skin. 1 9 Flames of Loki hits Fire Fox for 1796 fire damage. 1 8 Blue Hedgehog has been defeated. 1 7 Flames of Loki hits Blue Hedgehog for 8226 fire damage. 1 6 Giant Panda has been defeated. 1 5 Flames of Loki hits Giant Panda for 11477 fire damage. 1 4 Replicator drops a Mana Gem powerup! 1 3 Replicator has been defeated. 1 2 Flames of Loki blasts Replicator for 5214 fire damage. 1 1 You cast Flames of Loki. 0 7 Spawned Monster F: MID=13 (Mind Raper) LV=153 HP=5217 MP=153 SP=6 NA=168 Type=hostile 0 6 Spawned Monster E: MID=11 (Zombie Cow) LV=153 HP=5580 MP=57 SP=31 NA=165 Type=hostile 0 5 Spawned Monster D: MID=6 (Fire Fox) LV=151 HP=2460 MP=147 SP=26 NA=173 Type=hostile 0 4 Spawned Monster C: MID=14 (Blue Hedgehog) LV=149 HP=5310 MP=65 SP=10 NA=169 Type=hostile 0 3 Spawned Monster B: MID=5 (Giant Panda) LV=153 HP=2402 MP=34 SP=53 NA=176 Type=hostile 0 2 Spawned Monster A: MID=3813 (Replicator) LV=151 HP=3143 MP=0 SP=0 NA=163 Type=hostile 0 1 Initializing arena challenge #20 (Round 22 / 35) ... 0 0 Battle Start!
Sorry if it's too clumsy, just want to show the whole condition. Is this an intended condition?
Edit: checked again. It seems the agitation starts the turn searing skin expires.

Oh boy Potions are worth nothing. This makes Credit perks pretty useless (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) And no more reason to do Item World at all. Just a waste of Stamina (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) This post has been edited by Ichy: Apr 29 2011, 16:43

This hidden inflation is nasty, how will I feed my wife and kids when potions sell for less and crystals cost more!?

It seems that the consuming rate now is 0.025 per round cleared with Normal status and below. Is it all right?

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Apr 29 2011, 03:05) Fair enough. But in the coming back to bite you in the ass effect of unintended consequences, that does mean that monsters revert to doing full damage when undamaged.
- Monsters will now become Agitated when they are below 20% health. Agitated monsters do 50% more damage than normal. -- While mostly to make long battles less about settling into a routine, this is also a buff to classes that focus on one monster at a time. -- Visually, Agitated monsters are displayed with red text. A log entry is also created whenever a monster enters the Agitated state. -- The agitation mechanism is only enabled when you reach level 100.
Grand, now agitation is just a straight up buff with no drawbacks for the monsters. Thanks everyone who bitched, really appreciate it.

(IMG:[ i52.tinypic.com] http://i52.tinypic.com/28t7yi9.jpg) With health between 20% and 50%, you take less damage than before. But that's negligible compared to damage buff they got in all other conditions. Edit: Maybe it'd be fun to make a mob defense state: When at 80% hp or more, it deals 50% less damage, but also takes 20% less damage from players. Thank tenboro for sucking every last tiny bit of fun out of the game. Thank him for making credit perks worthless by repeatedly devaluing items and equipment. And thank him for reducing the restored grindfest credit drops (yes, already.)

Huh? I don't see any difference, at least on heroic (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

QUOTE(Rei-Tenshi @ Apr 29 2011, 04:28) I think the Credit Perks need some tweaks now. With nearly all basic stuff selling for like 10c, they're pretty much useless now (well... more useless than before). Either that or at least raise the prices again so the Perks still have some use.
People have complained about the death of the credit perks after every single credit nerf...

I understand the complaints about full damage at full health now, but I didn't really see much of a difference considering the original agitation...with a full round of baddies I seemed to be getting beat up about as much as I always did, PLUS getting crushed if more than one was at low HP, on normal. The fact that even with a lot of prof with curative, my Cure spell just wasn't doing squat...I'd have a potion active and cast Cure and in some rounds I would still have less HP than before I did with only a few monsters left in the round and only one of them agitated. I'll report my findings as a lower-mid level melee after the daily Arenas. - JC

Errr
why not just make it 25% weaker at full health and 25% stronger when they are pissed? Probably make it 15% for Mini Bosses 10% for Bosses and 5% for gods.

I don't see any difference, at least on heroic (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) The change is easily noticeable on BT with Great status and the credit perks. It's approximately a 20-25% reduction. This post has been edited by hitokiri84: Apr 29 2011, 20:17

I'm not seeing any changes in my credit gains on normal. But I don't have any credit perks. My guess is Tenboro either only nerfed higher difficulty credit drops or tweaked how the great bonus and credit perks interacts. Either way, I don't see much reason to complain. I'd be very surprised if Tenboro doesn't eventually lower credit gains for everyone anyways. I've been earning credits like nuts. Before patch = 10k credits a day After patch = 40k credits a day edit: 1 20 Conquest101 hits you for 395 piercing damage. 1 19 Conquest101 is agitated! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) So much better This post has been edited by dkplee: Apr 29 2011, 20:37

It will agitate on its next turn. The actual check is done right before the attack code is run.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Apr 29 2011, 03:32) They are supposed to be strong.
If they are supposed to be strong, then you are adding a mini boss to every level of an arena, an item world, or grindfest. I don't know if the exp for the stronger custom monsters is similar to that for the mini bosses, but it still completely unbalances all the fights. I was wondering why my sword and board started sucking again, but seeing that agitation is gone (for my level), that explains it I guess. I hope my old mage style works again now...
