Is it confirmed that collecting them will yield a prize?

They drop ponyfeathers this year. Please at least read the patch notes.

this is what I got so far, ended up with 2 red ones in one arena.

(pawned everything, so I can't trade.)

I only managed to acquire 8 total feathers (4 red, 3 orange, and 1 indigo). Will things change so that count for using the canon since they are pony items? (yes, I know they are not collectibles but still...) Otherwise, just how rare are collectible drops and should I just cash these in at the Shrine and hope for Hath or AP?

Why would the artifacts turn into figurines?
As far as how rare they are, Easter only happens once a year. I think this is the second year in a row that there's been an event so "Easter Artifacts" may not be exceedingly rare (compared to really rare stuff in this game), but last year's holiday artifacts were obviously a little different.
Summary: Easter based artifacts may become an annual tradition, but no guarantee we'll see feathers next year.

As far as what to do with them, yeah either shrine em or sell them to players. I don't really see the point in keeping them. If you just want to collect them and hold onto them I assume you have your own compulsion, but don't expect them to have any further uses outside their role of artifacts (especially since the event is probably over). I wouldn't expect to get any bragging rights for holding onto them either as that would be kind of pointless.

Just got 6 Pegasopolis Emblems for all the feathers I turned in for the easter event. Which in turn you can shrine for a weapon drop of your choice. So. If you shrined them like a good brony you got emblems to show for it.

Oh, that explains some things, I had 2 of those and they gave some great equipment, but I had zero idea where they came from.

Although I turned in more like 5 or 6 feathers it must have been each "type" of feather I guess?

Ah well, was nice to see artifacts drop outside of Ring of Blood as someone who still feels like a noob, lol.

The only thing I can say for sure about next year's event is that it won't be colored unicorn horns.

(Invisible Pink unicorn horns are still fine, though.)
