I noticed that they always drop at the end of battles, never by a monster (whereas all items including artifacts are dropped by a monster). So IMO best way to increase chances of getting an egg is by doing as many rounds as possible instead of killing as many monsters as possible.

Pretty interesting, didn't notice that. So, basically, if that is true...
- Grindfest/IW to 25ish, leave, rinse, repeat.
- Do the smaller arenas first (top to bottom) to save time if you can't do all of them.

In any case, my current egg tally is:
2x O, 1x E, 2x L

So lower the difficulty to cake and go through as many rounds as possible?
