Don Cheadle was great as Miles, but it was not the kind of movie I had hoped for (even though I knew that full well going in). I would have preferred a move about Miles making one of his landmark albums. The fictional account of recovering a session tape wasn't bad, but I feel like are real-life tales about Miles that are just as interesting. That said, it was certainly interesting, taking place at his lowest point.
I believe this was Cheadle's directorial debut. It was a competent film so I'm curious to see what he does next as director.
