Woman in Gold.
It was a rather heart-rending film about Repatriation for Nazi war crimes, specifically the return of stolen art. I thought the acting was superb, and both Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds were excellent in the movie. If you want a film to play on your heart strings, and describe the social impacts of the pre-World War II rise of the Nazis, without going into detail about the actual horrors of the Nazis, this film does that. The film is very long on cultural implications, and very short on critique about anything except governmental complicity and exercises in foot-dragging.
If your tastes run more towards the kind of horrific monstrosities that were carried out, just watch Schindler's List again. Or Life is Beautiful. This is a movie about an old lady who wants to get a painting of her aunt back. Bear that in mind, and enjoy the ride.
