A couple days ago I finally got around to seeing Wild Zero (via the wonderful Youtube)
I had kind of seen most of the highlights already, but if anything noticing that I knew what was about to happen at certain points kind of just made it better with the added context. I haven't really been into movies very much as of late, but seeing this reminded me that there are cinematic works to be appreciated, if only by weirdos like me.
In lieu of an in-depth review, I'll just conclude with an excerpt from this description instead:
"Only legendary Japanese garage rock band Guitar Wolf can stand between a race of aliens from destroying earth with an army of zombies. Ace, a wannabe rock star, is on his way to a concert of the band Guitar Wolf when space aliens invade the Earth. As a result the dead rise to their feet in the countryside setting of Asahi, Japan, with an appetite for flesh. Enlisting the help of his rock 'n roll blood brother Guitar Wolf, Ace and the members of the band get entangled in many misadventures with crazy rock managers in very tight shorts, transsexuals, naked women shooting guns in the shower, and bloodthirsty zombies ready to tear them apart. Leather jackets, loud over-modulated music, laser guitar picks, motorcycles, guns, muscle cars, and fire abound."
