Ah, so the auto-update is what caused it. I don't remember seeing a dialogue or anything pop-up though... is it safe for extensions to update themselves without user input?

It did auto-update for me at least - that's when arcance meditation dissappeared and it asked you to enter the abilities page to teach it what you got..

So it auto-updated for you from 0.2.2 to 1.0.0? I was hoping it would do that (setting up the auto-update was actually an undocumented feature of v0.2.2), but I couldn't get it to work for me. I'm glad it did work for someone.

EDIT: A food idea? As long as it's not related to potatoes.... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I figured someone would catch that. I only noticed after I posted, but I posted that reply on my iPhone, and I couldn't be assed to fix it on that awful interface.

The update itself is handled through Chrome's inbuilt self-update mechanism. It reads an XML file on QB2's server (http://www.starfleetplatoon.com/~coredump/QB2-Updates.xml) that tells it what the newest version of QB2 is. If the currently installed version is out of date, it downloads the newest version from the URL stored in the XML file.

I'll have a fix available for the bugs that have been reported in a few minutes.

QuickBar2 v1.0.1 is now available.

To elaborate on the "page load bug" that I fixed:
QB2's copy of jQueryUI was trying to load a few background images from hentaiverse.org, even though they were actually stored locally. This caused each page load to take up to 1/5 of a second longer than it should have, since hentaiverse.org would send back a 404 error. This also fixes STAT's settings button icon, which QB2 was braking before. Unfortunately, it also screwed with the background color for QB2's settings dialog, and I haven't found a way to consistently fix that, yet. All these problems with jQuery-UI and STAT would all go away if cmal would just update STAT to use the new version. (hint, hint)

Heck, if you want the same jQuery as me, you can get the same files directly off my space on Sonic's server.
[www.starfleetplatoon.com] http://www.starfleetplatoon.com/~coredump/...ry-1.5.2.min.js
[www.starfleetplatoon.com] http://www.starfleetplatoon.com/~coredump/...1.custom.min.js
jQueryUICSS [www.starfleetplatoon.com] http://www.starfleetplatoon.com/~coredump/...8.11.custom.css

Oh, and if you're interested in using an older version of QB2, for some reason, I'm storing major milestones in the [www.starfleetplatoon.com] http://www.starfleetplatoon.com/~coredump/archive folder. I still need to figure out how to make that folder browsable, but version 1.0.0 is at [www.starfleetplatoon.com] http://www.starfleetplatoon.com/~coredump/...kBar2-1.0.0.crx

Maybe if jQuery-UI 1.8.11 didn't break tabs, I would.

QB2 v1.0.2 is now available. I fixed a bug with Pestilence not showing in the spell selectors. I'm going to post in the requests thread that Tenboro fix the spelling and naming mistakes on the abilities page, and I'm hoping that you guys will second my request. Chain Lightning, Pestilence, and Arcane Focus have been mis-named on the Abilities page since they were first added, and it's really annoying to have to code around that. Not to mention the confusion factor for all users.

Any chance of getting a third quickbar? With all the new mobs I'm needing to branch out to more element spells.

Hmm, that's possible, but it will further squash the battle log down. I'll look into adding that after I implement the multiple Artois option I promised a few weeks ago. After I get back from Japan, that is.

Bump, because stupid people's misplaced posts dropped QB2 off the front page.

I've got an update planned, but my trip to Japan, and subsequent jet lag, have kept it shelved for the last 3 weeks. It'll probably be available this weekend.

LOL I did this at the OS level using my multimedia keyboard and software, but for my laptop this'll be very interesting once I go back to multiple offensive elements. Thanks for making it!

Funny: I actually have spare spaces that I filled with lame spells like shield/barrier. Absorb is not that handy when monsters can do 1KHP+ damage/round and you have 2.5K. Every little bit helps but it seems like a waste of turns/mana. It's better to just use spark+veil+haste to reduce the odds of getting hits like that back-to-back and getting kicked out of an arena in the last round. XD

Any update on the FF version? I feel like I'm living in the stone age over here, clicking through my spellbook manually! Pshaw!

OH jeez, sorry about that. I have found myself busied with other interests lately, and haven't had a chance to do much of anything HV-related in weeks.

I might to be able to make a Firefox port, but the research I did a while back, it looks like it'll be harder than I anticipated.

Besides, is it really not workable to install Chrome? I don't use Chrome for anything except HV, and that works out perfectly well for me.

Does QuickBar2 still work with the newest version of HV? I haven't played in ages, though I'm considering it for a good time waster until The Old Republic comes out.

Does anyone still use QuickBar2? If so, and it's broken, I'll be glad to update it to work with HV 0.6.1.

QuickBar2 still works great with the newest version of HV. Honestly, I wouldn't know what I would do without it.
