Well is it just me, or are the custom monsters typically much stronger than other monsters?

And the lion was the lowest level of them all. - This isn't just one example, it seems everytime custom monsters are stronger, almost as strong as "gray" monsters!

That monster probably had a fair amount of STR invested by the person who created it, as well as a natural amount of extra str due to it being a beast.

STR 5
DEX 5
AGI 10
Giving him attack rating of 11,25
Killed 0 people in 2 weeks.


My monster named Bunko has
STR 16
DEX 14
AGI 8
Giving him attack rating of 28,5
Killed 29 people in 2 weeks

Both are custom monsters, the other sucks more than the other.

You won`t say this when you encounter a monster with FSM like speed (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Obvoisly thy are stronger thanks to trining.

I ran into "Bunko" and at a rating of nearly 60 it's tougher than the "mini-bosses (or "foremen" as I've come to call them) and am wondering if monsters like this shouldn't be elevated to that status.

This creature certainly has earned that right, I finally beat it but it took nearly everything to do so. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

...and that was in Item World. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Some of them die in one decent blow, without bleed finishing them off. I guess some people need to buy more crystals?

I don't really care why the custom monsters are so strong, but I am going to complain about one named "Sai Akuto" which was hitting me harder than the Mithra during the same fight (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif);; It also had more defense than the Mithra.... I think it's just plain wrong for cannon fodder to be stronger than "Boss" class monsters... At the very least, we should get some sort of bonus out of the stupidly strong ones XD

Keep in Mind people who ridiculously strengthened their monster will probably upgrade them when possible so the problem will fix itself.

i purposely left my monsters at PL:0 and they are still killing noobs, granted they are arthropods since most people seems to be using axes i felt like making them resist pierce.

Got one of those mobs as well... Johannes Krauser or how it was called. Hit pretty much triple the amount of the Manhra. Manthra hitting me for 30 and that Krauser for 100... considering I have ~750 life that's quite an ridiculous amount, especially if there are 5-6 monsters in the battle.

It's the unpredictable difficulty that gets me. I don't mind if there are hard monsters (in fact I welcome the challenge) but I just want them updated to miniboss so I can see they are hard and plan the battle accordingly

Does anyone know when that update is scheduled?

Giants, the undead and robots... Got to love them.... If you're using melee, try to get an ethereal weapon since giants are resistant to all forms of physical. Then learn lightning (or dark) to kill the crap out of robots. You can also go for crushing type of damage (maces, clubs) but you'll need to learn wind beat the dragonkin and giants since they're terribly resistant to crushing damage.

I think some of the custom monsters should be doing magic damage for their regular attacks. It can help the monsters like faeries and elementals not be complete jokes compared to giants/mechs/etc. Better would be to specify what kind of damage your monster does. (I spent several levels of INT and WIS crystals on a human creature I made until I realized it doesn't attack with magic D:)
