try my paint, for quick sketch and inking...with some additional brush you got the feeling of manga studio kabura brush...look my sig, it was all made by mypaint...of course the text bubbles are done in MSPaint

I use paint.net when I need to edit pics and such. It's nice and easy.

I really liked both of these drawings (Muramasa and gguy), so coming to a decision took a while...

The winner is gguy!
Now for a short critique of both drawings.

Muramasa, I really liked how it came out overall, form was good and the coloring was accurate. It seems as though you have a talent for drawing in the details and being accurate with body positioning, but there were a few issues regarding the head of the character. Your initial drawing (in the kneeling position) had the head done rather well, and the hair on it seemed to be drawn out, giving more attention to the head overall (at least to me). Your second drawing (I am assuming this is the one submitted for the challenge) had the face set a bit too low making the head look elongated, and I understand that you had Agrias bowing her head, however. The eyes, eyebrows, and mouth were perfect, but the nose gave the character a flattened look (it also made the face seem a bit bunched up). It seems as though more details in a drawing (clothes, armor, and even the lines signifying clothes being wrinkled) gives you an advantage when drawing posture and form (more than likely you gain accuracy when you have many details to use as guides for the characters dimensions), I think that is a rather rare talent (others seem to clutter or expand the dimensions of a character when there are many "extras" in a drawing) I am always happy to see your work!

gguy, the drawing you submitted was just beautiful, the posture and form complimented the character well, the "alerted" stance you put Agrias gave her a sense of professionalism. The details of the character were balanced, the angle of the eyes in particular drew me in. There are a few issues that I found in the drawing, the face was nearly perfect, it stayed true to the art from the original game (eyes high, low mouth), but her right eye was too extended for the angle of her head, you overcompensated on the angle of the face, that or you made the eyebrows too close together (though I would still consider a unibrow Agrias rather hot). The coat and legs were fine, but her right boot had an odd curvature. I liked the coloring on the top portion a lot (the waist and up) the bottom half however...well you did mention it was a rush job and it came out good, but the coloring left many uncolored spaces. I look forward to more of your drawings!

---Winner Muramasa! This one was excellent, you captured the female form extremely well in this drawing. The effect/details that you created with the skirt and hair were superb (almost too good, normally I notice the face of a character first, this one made me look at the dress and hair first - it made the face look somewhat lackluster). I have to say, when it comes to your drawings, this one looks to be one of your best yet when it comes to capturing a realistic form, and the little details came out really well ("ripple" effect on the dress for example). Winnings will be sent shortly (and a little extra 'cause I really liked this one).

---Winner Muramasa! This one came out rather well, the eyes were good and the "glossy" look on them was a nice touch. The kitty mouth was a very cute (and amusing) addition, the pose was exactly as I'd imagined when I made this challenge. Now the only problem I saw was the lower legs (calf), it seems a bit distorted (a little too thin) when compared to the whole picture. Overall I think this was a good sketch.
