Poke poke @ Vasili, you might be able to get what you want if you play with the levels for a while to get it darker, then color in the highlights again. I know it's a bit of work, but might be faster then starting over.

I asked the beaver... he's slightly irked because he had specific colors he'd named, but he said go for it, and that he wants to see what you have in mind. He'd prefer it if it were a green or maybe brown, but he's open to ideas.

so difficult to choose matching color (this involve color theory).

1. It kinda should, considering how I made the original.

2. Yeah, I support red hair, even though I have no idea what color theory is.

3. Nope, no pencil. Everything's digital, from the (very) rough sketch to the (pain in the ass) lineart.

He kinda wanted the green hair, but he's not committed to it. He's fine if you change the colors, loire.

eh, your not that far off... maybe try a brush with hard edges, and put some more dark red and violet values in the shadows. Looks like they lightly added the grain effect after they finished.

@Vas, just me being a nag a quick checking in on that current challenge, and if you considered my extra-extra challenge of an additional scene* or not (I put too much thought into this over the days).

Also, let me know if 'you' have plans to color it or not, so I know to nag kindly ask Eirhjien if (s)he's up for these <---Plural because I'm going to see about taking advantage of these other ones as well! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

*Only if you're interested, otherwise I'll save it for another challenge: Basically, a two panel POV shot from both Ed and Olivier. For Ed it's after your panel 2, where it's a close up/waist high shot (like he's looking up to her) of her making a sexy smile while snapping the 'top' button on her jacket (her hand doing a one-finger plucking/flicking motion), causing a 'gap' in her jacket like this (full bust/tight jacket), and from Oli's perspective (looking downwards at Ed) it's panel 4 where she's just sliding her jacket open, so it'd be mostly 10-20% of her bust onscreen along with her hands/jacket and the look on Ed's face (blushing/nervous). If that's too much or not descriptive enough, let me know.

Beaver says if you're so hung up on red, to go for it.

To quote the beaver:

The only reason I chose the hair color I did is because
- A.) she was intended to have a sort of nature- or forest-based theme in her color scheme, and
- B.) according to the SRD, they share similar colorations to elves.

And from the elf page, "Forest-dwelling elves often have variations of green, brown, and tan in their hair, eye, and even skin tones."

So try to keep that in your mind for artistic interpretations, I guess?

The Beaver is my nickname for one of my D&D players. He's Canadian and, while I like Cows, He decided to make Beavers his motif. He used to be on this board, but left to greener woodlands. But Shira, Deo and a druid I'm trying to get him to work on are all his characters.

Belle, Karma and Lilian are all my best friend's sister's D&D characters. I thought it'd be nice to occasionally get her some art of her characters, because she's usually pretty busy irl but likes the game and enjoys playing around with her characters.

I mostly don't have art of my other friends' characters because my best friend for example bases his characters on TV characters from shows he watches, like Sean Bean playing "Richard Sharpe" in the Sharpe series (which is amusingly like, the only thing we've ever seen of Sean Bean where he doesn't die), and my other friends base theirs off of preexisting anime characters, which irritates me to no end. Like, seriously. One tried to make Kamina from TTGL. And one, who I'm no longer friends with, makes characters that he's explicitly expecting to die.

I had to specifically make it a rule that you cant loot dead PCs because of him. Like, he would make a character that has no weapons or armor, but was level 6. and all his gold was invested in potions. Potions that he made at 1/3 the base cost because he invested in a perk that lets him make magic items. And then once he dies, the party could have all his potions, and he would just make a new character.
