It just doesn't seem like any are..... well, interested.

Do you really blame them? We have one pseudo-currency to use it mostly for exchanging another pseudo-currency, a specific pseudo-currency to "unlock" stuff in Hath Perks and another one to "buy" stuff in HV which everyone pretends to give a shit. We have one art section and no one in charge had ever bothered to organize some kind of contest, but if they did... to a different section, they can go fuck themselves.

And don't get me started on DeviantArt.

I can not, nor I will not argue against an artist accepting cash (lord knows I do), but I will mention that just within the confines of this thread being about art challenges, I took it as..... well, just for fun, with funny-money being offered as a token gesture of good will. But I do accept the idea of one just passing over it out of disinterest.

My problem with deviant art..... aside from that was the level aggressiveness from me trying to get a simple cash commission done because I completely underestimated my budget to people's expectations of payment. But I did find someone very nice and reasonable in the end.

That pseudo-currency can be used for a variety of things, so I suppose its value is subjective. Personally, I find it useful for standard or editing bounties. (And for this thread, of course.)

On the lack of artists, I've been wondering, do our Japanese members know about this thread?

Well . there are hand full of talent digital artist (not pro yet) In my country. They always do this kind of event, It calls
"Manga battle" create your own character and draw them fight each other. There is no price for winner thought (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) .
They also have "Webboard's school / university" which they draw their character in various event in the fiction
world.
Not sure this kind of event is suitable for this webboard or not.

I want to invite some artist in my country to joint this board too but drawing and distribute this kind of stuff is illegal

Also, if you're free to challenges for the moment, which would be a testament to your abilities if you challenge yourself to adhere to it's guidelines. But i've still got two above, or I guess a color job for those last ones you did for me? I don't know, I'm just tossing up ideas to see what sticks while I have a chance. <---This goes for any strapping young lads, as well.

Did the norm shift from AnimeAce for manga-esque fonts? When I used to edit things, that was what mostly everyone used...

I suppose, but I still see people use it today. I started out with with that, jumped to Lafayette Comic Pro for a while and now use WildWords as my main font.

No prob I still like it.

The initial reward should be 400,000 C for completing the main request including the coloring and the "2nd edit", but because the 2nd pic is actually an additional artwork I'll give another 100,000 C and 50 Hath for that. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the extra challenge of capturing the style from another artist because this pic is 100% yours, and I kinda hoped to see more... inspiring presentation from the balloon text.

For the art I give you 9/10, for the whole challenge I give you 6/10 because I believe you could make a better presentation and ever cuter.

I want Chun-Li with the police outfit trying to write some traffic ticket (or something) to [www.fightersgeneration.com] Sean while he sticks his face between her huge breasts, [vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net] Laura from the left corner is approaching with the intent of beating the shit out of her (or both of them;).

The reward is 100,000 C & double amount for coloring. Bonus 50 Hath if the pic is funny and sexy at the same time, and another 100 Hath for a creative dramatic angle.

Expiration date is February 28.

Here's my challenge that maybe one of you new boys would consider?

With these two characters below Olivier Armstrong, and Edward Elric.

Challenge rules: Make a comic-like page with [www.dropbox.com] these scenes as reference, for what's basically this. With Olivier (obviously) on top, and him lying there. Whether his arms are bound or he's paralyzed in fear is up to you. The scene should play out like...


1: Wide shot of them in their positions.
2: Either have his eyes on hers, or starting at her breasts (more on that later)
3+4: A full upper torso shot of her hands holding the sides of her jacket, which to make sense, her right hand would have to be slightly inside her jacket, under the large flap there. If you want, you can do that thing where it's just boxes close together making one full scene.
5: This panel can be a variant to 4 where her jacket is already slightly open and she's just holding the sides.
6: It is what it is.
BONUS 7: In panel 6, she's wearing a tight under shirt, maybe somewhat smooshing her breasts, so with panel 7, she's pulled up said shirt with both hands all the way over and now were with the original panel 6, and use a little fancy lined arrow to express that movement.

Character design...
Ed: His outfit like above, or for something more simple, just a regular T-shirt/pants. Small (height-wise) by comparison to her.

Olivier: Her military uniform for obvious reasons, in it's basic form. For her build, well.... go with basically like above, in both breasts and poked nips. As for an under garment, it can be a similarly revealing swimsuit piece (in any color), and a dark undershirt for the bonus round.
