QUOTE Hope I'm not too late for this one.
... ... *NOSEBLEED* @.. @ *Passes out* (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif) *Wakes up hours later* M-moo...? oh, uh... right. You had another day on it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) Technically 2, because I'm not really anal about time, so it'd teeeeechnically end the morning after, when I wake up. QUOTE Got tired of working on the background and cleaning up the sketch lines + other parts of the pic so pardon the "incomplete-ness" of the piece/s.
I was kinda distracted and can hardly tell xD I'll drop the 130k creds, plus a few extra for going above what I was expecting, into your account (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) Well now, excuse me as I pick my jaw off the ground and plug my nose. It looks like someone exploded in here (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) And I need to plan out my next challenges.

I enjoyed doing this one as well. I've now found a new appreciation for drawing dark-skinned girls (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif). Looking forward to your future challenges! You mean the one in which you duplicate lineart layer and use Gaussian blur?

I don't know if its the same thing that the tutorial is talking about, but what I usually do to create the halo-like effects is to "cheat" using Gaussian Blur + Blend effects. I use PS but you can probably do this with any other modern painting tool. What I usually do is just use Select > Color Range and pick the color/s where I want to apply the halo effect/s. Usually these would be hair, skin, shiny objects, light sources, etc. (Sometimes when I feel lazy, I just duplicate the entire image; it still works sometimes (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)). Next apply Gaussian Blur to the duplicated colors to make a nice blurry image (the strength of the blur should depend on the size of your image). Then I change the blend setting of the blurred layer. Different blend settings do different things so I suggest you experiment with each one (Lighten color makes a nice Halo like effect, like the dream sequences in some anime). You can also adjust the opacity/fill to reduce the effect. To take it one step further, you can create multiple blur layers plus mix-in some image adjustment effects like RGB curves, Color levels, Hue/Saturation or even large blobs of localized saturated colors if you are feeling adventurous.

Well, I was idling about, and asked Luster if he thought it'd be a good idea to put out a little bit of Lilian's background/attitude to help with the charts, so I'll try to put up some Cliff notes.
Edit: Hmm... apparently it wasn't quite giving off the "vibe" I'd intended.
M'kay... Imagine Lilian being more like a cute/sweet girl, but also is a bit of a pervert. She is sexually adventurous and open to new experiences, but doesn't try to look or act like a cock-hungry slut or anything like that.
Hopefully, that's a bit more helpful?
