QUOTE(seoul.sketch @ Jun 4 2011, 14:48) true, it wont change anything, I think people are just a bit busy these days
and seeing good art/sketches should be encouraging because it's mostly skill (can be attain/improved on) as oppose to talent (born with it)
I remember taking a trip to Sheridan College's animation department years ago and seeing some of their work ... man, I was floored, honestly, it deflated me, I thought my art was OK but after seeing theirs (even the ones they threw out) it's like comparing DaVinci to chicken scratch - I was very much discouraged, but later I found out they got to where they are through hard work, drawing every day, practicing every day, etc ... good art is attainable through practice - it's all about practice, not talent
I'm really glad that there still artists who thinking that way (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) In Cyprus, I was "competing" with 6 schoolmates in art. For me it was really fun, but for them it was just a competition. 2 of them were the best in illustration & I was admiring them (even today), I was 3rd & the rest took pretty bad the "defeat" & they quit drawing :/ What I'm trying to say is, I know how it feels to be better or lower than other artists. And I've mentioned before that I don't believe in levels anymore, only different styles. It's all about practice, you're absolutely right (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

It's all about practice, you're absolutely right (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Practice is one thing but learning how to draw is another. I never took lessons til later in high school and some in college. Basic skills are needed especially when you're trying to improve. Honestly theres no point in practice if you don't practice the basic forms and whatnot. drawing something as simple as an oval actually takes practice. You'd be surprised at what you can draw just based off of being able to draw basic shapes then transforming those shapes into something. Even when i was taking classes i was never even in the top 10 of my classes, and still til this day i know i'm nowhere near as skilled as i used to be when i was actually drawing on a daily basis. So yes, PRACTICE makes almost Perfect... seeing as how no person should claim to be perfect (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

REQUEST:
A picture of Rebecca Black going down on Sgt. Joe Friday with the text "Gotta get down on Friday." somewhere on it.
Make it tasteful, the reward is TBD, probably 10k credits, 15k if it makes me laugh.

If you're good artist & quitting on it, is like you're cutting your right hand :/ Never underestimate such potential... QUOTE(seoul.sketch @ Jun 6 2011, 20:58) Scorpion ~ (IMG:[ 1.bp.blogspot.com] http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6H2CDbFn_jg/Te0UbjfGH7I/AAAAAAAAACc/AnZIS_SfBuQ/s1600/scorpion-small2.jpg) I think he's probably my favorite character of all of them ... definitely the character I used the most I already like it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) If no one else's posting another art, I'll send you the full reward.

QUOTE(suta @ Jun 19 2011, 08:25) LOL! Great one, almost as I imagined, especially that smile (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) The eyes though they're very cute to be insane, but that's ok... P.S: I won't dare to imagine for what she did with her hands o_O

QUOTE(seoul.sketch @ Jun 21 2011, 19:28) You succeed the crazy look, but is hard to see her as Estelle. To be honest, that face reminds me Luffy from One Piece (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
