oh crap i dont have that ah crap that might be my only shot since Pokecatt has not made anything new lately thats almost my year buildup.........where do i find challenges to do contests or take requests i think their were "some" within my ability to try out

Your reaction is quite understandable but plz don't make your own terms in your client's request.
Try to understand its position, ask him/her to make a better reward & let the client to deal with it.

2 options:
1. Change your request to something more simple.
2. You can "freeze" your current request until you gather some more credits.

Note: and choose your own sensible price, don't forget you're the client.

I am fully aware of the risk, I'm not the Robert Downey Junior of the art. I'm fully prepared if then in the middle of the work, someone decided to show up with his request done and agrees with only 30k price, causing me to lose the client. I'm aware for the bad name I'll probably receive and (I think I need to state this) no, this isn't me playing victim because I'm the one who started it afterall.

I dunno, I never seen his request(s) being done and posted here (perhaps someone did it and send the deal through the PM?). But if I am him, the least thing I want to happen is nobody's working on my request. That's all.

I see your point but this thread is intended as a game, not a serious art commission (ok, there's a little "profit" with credits, but that's not
the case). It doesn't mean you shouldn't be cautious with your participation of course, all I'm saying is to show some signs of respect to your
client by accepting his/her request with its own terms. If you think the reward is too low then say something like "it's too much of work, so
I think you should make a better reward", there's a huge difference between suggestion & demand.

So, I hope the misunderstanding has been solved & we can continue the usual routine.

here is my recent work each pic took me about nearly 11 hours each with lots of trial and error tell me what ya think indiexanna and Brainsucks you 2 are people who took most of my requests so id be happy if ya check it out

Don't rush it, you'll need to learn from the basic in making a more proper character proportion.

I cannot comment your current progress, even if I have to I'll just say "that's okay for starter"

I got another challenge:

Lei Lei from Darkstalkers.

I overdid it with the blur effect to hide some flaws with the coloring btw. I'm glad with it though, because I hadn't drawn something without a reference in like 10 years and had fun with it.
