Other than no regen and minimum 1 damage from monster in battle, all of the updates are nice. Thanks for the update.

QUOTE(cmal @ Mar 12 2011, 16:58) How exactly does this affect we of the Complete Tree Club?
I traded in 30 artifacts and got 4 AP 35 Hath 500 crystals + other stuff It would be nice not to get any AP if the tree is complete. Or in later updates the AP could be used in the Monster Lab or something else (if there aren't new abilities/skills)

hey hey, this is pretty nice, it is neat seeing the Killing Blows your monster made (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) the 1 dmg with Shield is not bad out of an X mount of health not a problem! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Edit: YEAH, love the mana regen, can finally last longer in prolonged battles, useing heavy armor i still take quite a bit of dmg, least i can heal myself a bit more then rely on Potions This post has been edited by juevy: Mar 13 2011, 07:51

Do we get any loot quality bonuses or extra experience from the higher power level user monsters? Because it'd be a good idea if they're tougher to kill, that we get something for that trouble....

QUOTE(Boggyb @ Mar 12 2011, 23:04) This isn't one of those "buffs" that end up being you now have to have haste cast on you at all times to maintain the previous level, is it?
Looks like the situation without Haste should be broadly similar to what it was before. With Haste, higher level players are now better off. Lower level players... well, at least you should be able to stack scrolls with the spell version now. Assuming they do stack, of course.

This is only assumptions of mine but: I think the stats work in the same way, at least for the ratings/action speed. They also represent a "base" stats, in other words what we see at the lab is a level 0 monster stats. Then they're scaled with some mysterious formula according to the level we found them.

I think a new perk allowing to block below L100 monsters would be good in the future.

So you will have the classic monsters and like 10 custom mobs?

Ok L50 them. Besides it's in the future, not right now. It's when high level people had time to raise their monsters.

QUOTE((Cheater) KamuiSeph @ Mar 13 2011, 15:13) Wait wut? Scroll Haste and spell Haste stack? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Well, that's the big question. Previously, using a Scroll would make your action speed hit the cap, so Haste couldn't add anything. Now... who knows? It would be easy enough to find out, though. Edit: That might be taken to imply that I'm about to go off and investigate it. Well, I'm not. Someone else can do it. QUOTE(Tenboro @ Mar 12 2011, 12:56) - You no longer gain regen/proficiency when hitting dead monsters or when using skills (scan).
Does this deactivate recasting regen, too? Like when you don't have enough mana and keep recasting to eventually regen enough?

Eventually, the system will start preferring monsters that have been upgraded when it builds the roster for a battle. So while a monster with high PL will have a smaller audience, so to speak, it will be picked more often. QUOTE(Sayo Aisaka @ Mar 13 2011, 20:41) Well, that's the big question. I guess I could just answer that. Yes, they stack.

Hrmm, I suppose it would be kind of difficult to put another QC bar in there. Maybe that's why... :3

QUOTE((Cheater) KamuiSeph @ Mar 13 2011, 09:13) Wait wut? Scroll Haste and spell Haste stack? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Uhm why wouldn't they? If he wanted them not to stack, they'd do like gems of mana and mana potions (resets effect). Of course, knowing what I know now, it was pointless to level up my agility that high... Sigh, 130 action speed was already capped with a scroll since 230 > 200? I was going to the trouble of focusing on action speed to detriment of other derived attributes. :/ QUOTE(Tenseigamoon @ Mar 13 2011, 16:01) Hrmm, I suppose it would be kind of difficult to put another QC bar in there. Actually, that's possible if you make a Greasemonkey script. Just hard code the extra spells to a hotkey? Mentioning, it's too bad my laptop is too slow to run the battle buddy without insane load times but once I get my tower's motherboard back... heh If you have the right game controller, then you can assign one of those buttons to an action in the browser. I'm not sure Tenboro ever intended us to play this game with a joystick like the [ images.google.com] Microsoft SideWinder Pro but it would be cool if it worked. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Interestingly, along that same line of thinking, those that can't use a mouse easily due to disabilities sometimes have a kind of joystick that behaves like a keyboard/mouse for common tasks. I bet there's a poorman's equivalent using consumer game controllers since some don't make you move you hand anywhere near as much/precisely as a mouse. Come to think of it, this game could be played by a blind person, as well, using screen scrapers. It would work a lot better if you set your character configuration to use local fonts instead of images, of course. OCR is unreliable and slow and hard coding for the image URL is just silly if you can use normal text. This is also why Flash is evil. This post has been edited by lovehcomics: Mar 14 2011, 01:29
