Thanks for the help, and heres the finished result.
Death God's Sauna Bath

I didn't bother editing every SFX, mainly because I didn't wanna replace/trample over DD's efforts(and because of the extra work).

Very nicely done, you turned it from being pretty painful to read to being enjoyable. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I am pretty sure she never ever called him chief. But let's see what others think...

Hm, after reading through this thread a little, i wonder if it was ok for beginners (like me) to post certain text passages to ask for help on those (maybe with a certain amount of credits as trade-off?) by the more experienced translators on the board, which would also be a great way to improve on language skills i think. I've not done that many translations yet and normally read the whole thing before i accept a bounty to check if i'm really up to the task. But even then sometimes a line or two, with which i'm later having problems then, slips through when checking and knowing to have a backup in cases like this would be nice.

Also i can understand if it angers experienced translators when they see someone not even getting a causative form right or giving a fuck at all. Nonetheless i think since no one is getting really payed for doing translations within the bounty system and it's open to non-professionals, the standards also shouldn't be set too high, or should they?
When looking at past translations i certainly find one or two spots where i think my translation was inaccurate or where i simply made a mistake (getting those and especially the ones sorted out, where i now certainly know i'am wrong but still can't figure it out was btw. partly the reason for me to write this post). But even so in my opinion having such a translation is still better than having none in many cases.
Would be glad to hear some opinions on this and hope i won't get killed for some statements. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

Yes we need proofleading before editing and releasing the final Manga.

I often felt in need for editors who can prooflead JP-English translations.

Many people will simply criticize without saying where exactly did the translator go wrong then he/she will never learn.

Although I can't actually translate, proofreading is a pastime I find rather fun. My problem is simply finding a space where I can talk with the translators/editors before the actual release. Proper QC can require some back and forth, especially when the meaning is vague and open to interpretation.

I've actually thought about offering some proofreading for the infamous CGrascal, but I've heard their translations aren't always accurate. Correcting the language doesn't necessarily correct the meaning.

I'll just chime in before this thread gets locked (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I'm definitely guilty of doing bad translation (I'm new to this and I came in, barely knowing any Japanese, and my English grammar aren't perfect either, even tho I have written in English for more than half my life), but I don't think they warrant being posted here.

My editing though... Thank god it's not as bad as that Slayers one (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I agree with the others that the translation is somewhat incorrect, but if this was his first work as a translator-editor he deserves some credit.
Let's remember that we didn't start out in this translating and uploading business knowing everything, so if he learns from what he did wrong and improves, it's a good thing, right? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)
