I think you're proving why this heavy handed approach to killing off monsters isn't going to work. There is nobody here who has seen every anime/hentai/movie, read every manga/doujinshi/comic/graphic novel or played every video game/hentai game, to know every reference. I could easily make up a Japanese sounding name and just say it's from really obscure video game that only came out on the TurboGrafx 16 and I couldn't really proven wrong, so why is it just peachy to have people recommending someone's creation is killed off simply because they haven't heard of it but just don't like the way it sounds?

Beyond this point, I'll just stay out of it until Tenboro addresses this more directly. I hope we can all get clarification on this process based off my first question to him. Then I'll know if this was an argument worth having or not.

I don't mind correcting misspellings or removing monsters that are clearly meant to imitate already existing monsters (G1ant Panda), but I think if we are going to make judgments on the stupidity of monster names, we should go ahead and do it with usernames as well.

Not necessarily. I can think of like 20 Tsubasa characters from different anime/games.

That some people will not get some obscure references is why we have this thread; contrary to popular belief, not everything is on google (at least, not findable on the first few page results without additional keywords).

I do think it would be easier to look at the monster lists and later it updates (like SOCOMs). Anyway, I stopped reporting stuff till Ten tells us what he kills and what he allows; I reported few dozens names, many have been rereported by others, and I am still seeing them. I am assuming he didn't have time to get around to that, but if so, making more posts is not going to help.

Amusingly, a bunch of names I just predicted in my first post are out there (Michel Jackson...).

Again, I'll say there is a bunch of good names out there, but they are swamped out by trash.

And Ghandi should go. He has nothing to do with hentai, fantasy, or Internet humor. Unless you make him a boss+ monster, nobody will ever lose to him, neither.

I guess I am now neutral on the Bunga bunga president... should be renamed to Bunga bunga president (from bungabunga).

I do think we will need a voting scheme, one that would not be final (we don't want people to vote out tough monsters) but one that would give an idea if, let's say, 90% of players are fine with Ghandi, or they think he doesn't belong here.

Assuming that it's not a reference to anything:

- "Original" creations are allowed, but keep the stupid out of it. Having forty different kinds of penis monsters is just silly. Don't be a retard.

Removed a bunch so far. But make sure to specify why a monster should be removed, and use Google to verify.

I'll be putting up a poll on monster names momentarily. Might as well get it over with before anyone start burning crystals on them.
