I bless this thread as long as nobody touches MY monsters.
Also its quite annoying to see some monsters which name consists of SIX or even MORE words.

I wonder, is variations of existing characters frowned upon? I don't want to give away what I had in mind, but for instance: If someone made "Konata", could I make "Konata Izumi" (full English variant), or even "Izumi Konata" (full Romanized Japanese version) after both of the previous two?

Basically, the character I have in mind (not Konata) is my favourite, but the existing version is wrong/incomplete according to me.

There is a "big shit" monster around, I wouldn't mind him removed.

The shop / auction idea modeled on hath auctions could work, but that does not address the problem of monsters with cool names who are owned by players who are not active anymore. Perhaps one could take over monsters through donations from players who haven't played in... one month? Two? Three?

Not a bad idea, but I do think if a member has been inactive for more than 30 days, that members monsters should become inactive & any items forfeit. If a member has been inactive so long that they're dropped from the active member list, then their monster could be sold. But that would require a mod to run it.

I would not like it to see my monster sold to some random person just because i'm inactive for a while (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
Just removing them from HV would be OK but only if they are back once I log in.

Lots of real life should not screw over your previous efforts put into this game.

Sell someone's monster(s) because they're inactive? I've never seen a more horrible suggestion.

A better suggestion would be to auto delete any PL0 monsters after a certain amount of time has passed since their creation, such as a month. Perhaps it should even be set slightly above that, enough to ensure that person has to invest a small but sizable number of crystals into a monster. Enough to prevent people from squatting on names without any real intent to level up a monster. It would also clear out the (probably) thousands of PL0 monsters cluttering up the monster list.

Anything above the low limit should never be removed, whether their creator is inactive or not.

Since the falling of the nameguidelines I decided to do so because having two of one monster is still better than having a <put any monstername you dislike> or a <put another monstername you dislike> or even a <yadayadayada>.
You maybe watch OP in english, but I'm a fan of watching everything in its origin language with subtitles.

Edit: didn't now the N word was changed to bunny in the forums, but yeah maybe you should change the monsters name I'm talking about to bunny.

Then again, One Piece is awful beyond reason and I can't fathom wanting to watch a sub to confirm your excuse for basically making the same monster someone created before you.
