Ever heard of voluntary response bias?

Well dur, I've had my share of statistics classes. But you haven't shown or even conjectured how such a bias would occur in the sample of people who chose to answer the poll - again, being those who for some reason or another care about HV.

A reasonable person might be swayed by the fact that I said otherwise,provided a multi-pronged argument as to why I wouldn't use a poll, and commented as to how I have no reason to disavow the poll. (The latter would definitely require an annoying argument into the fundamental issue of democracy: Majority rule versus minority rights.)

The only means by which it is possible to correct the problems I mentioned (naming, and people designing monsters to be as annoying as possible) seems to me to be to remove all free will from the process. If you were going to do that, you wouldn't have even created the system in the first.

If by "annoying" you mean "not fall over and die", then.. wow. It might surprise you to learn that the most common monster class is, in fact, humanoid - which does not have any particular strengths or weaknesses. Most people who have made a comment about some classes being imba mention giants, but those are like 8th on the list.

Most random stupid monsters will probably go away with the patch, and after that, I'll only deactivate those that actually show up in-game.
