Well unless someone can point me to firefighter being the name of a specific anime character, one would assume we are talking about, you know, civic servants who fight fires and other emergencies.

To me it would be like having a monster named "family doctor" or "college professor", not only does it lack sense (why are we fighting firefighters?) it is as generic as calling ayane or ryu hayabusa "ninja" or mazinger z "robot". It would have to be more specific to justify it IMO.

"Zombie Firefighter" or "Sex-Crazed Firefighter" are examples of how it would make more sense.

Plus I personally think it is in poor taste. I'm as anti-establishment as they come, but there are some professions you have to respect. Firefighters perform rather dangerous jobs without the agenda or hypocrisy seen in other civic professions.

Personally, I think Firefighter is a crap name for a monster. The fact that it's the title of a manga doesn't make it any less crap, since it makes no sense to be fighting a series of books. However, there's no rule against names being crap at the moment, unfortunately. Anyway, I'm sure Tenboro has sufficient information to make a decision about it, so there's no need for any further discussion.
