Just pointing out, Shimamura Youmu isn't an incorrect naming order. Shimamura is a Japanese brand name and not her last name (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) It's... it's kinda unique yeah.

We also have a "Salamander" and a "Flame Salamander".

I can't be sure about Salamander since it's a Daimon, but I have a hunch we have 6 monsters referring to the very same thing.
Natsu Dragneel, main character of Fairy Tail also called Salamander and occasionally known as Flame Salamander or Mage of Flame Salmander (I think the latter is the full title which is shortened to Salamander most of the time). Also Dragon Slayer and supposedly pupil of a dragon called Igneel. But as predictable as the story is he most likely IS that very dragon.

As the owner of Flame Salamander all I can say is I chose a title instead of a character name, because I thought it would make a better fit in HV.
And I don't particulary see a problem with 2 salamanders since one's not even a dragonkin, hence it might not even have any relation to Fairy Tail.

I mean we also have a Blue Dragon, a Dark Dragon, a Black Dragon, Divine Dragon, Baby Dragon, Needle Dragon, Ruby Dragon, Yang Dragon, Yogurt Dragon, Mummy Dragon and MORE!. So really nothing wrong with having a Flame Salamander (Dragonkin) and a Salamander (Daimon).

Some of the name-class combos are kinda "Whaa?". In those cases, I imagine the creator just wanted to name their monster after someone/something without real regard to popular culture/what they're referencing. Which is kinda retarded, but whatever floats your boat. Tenboro can have the final say on it.

Lilith could be referring to countless things like the character from DarkStalkers, the creature from Evangelion, the monster from Disgaea etc. Point being that in these works they are simply titled as "Lilith" with no last name or other words attached. I assume the Lilith Ayanami one is a reference to the EVA one while the other is a reference to one of the many others. This is the problem with commonly used names or creatures.

Also a "Salamander" is likely in reference to the salamander species of legendary creatures. They are commonly portrayed as lizards or half/snake demons with a strong affinity for fire. They are usually not dragons though.

Lucyxnuu is a poorly done, but it's from Elfen Lied. It's not gibberish.

If you really want to keep your monster, just have a friend register for the site with that monster's name as their username. Congrats, loophole bitch.

I know. But the manga is based on the more famous videogame (artwork done by Akira Toriyama). There's also an anime.
And Baby Dragon might be a reference to Breath of Fire, Ryo starts always with a Baby Dragon transformation. At least in older titles.
Dark, Black, Divine, Ruby, Yang are too generic too tell. Although Ruby Dragon was one of the more famous monsters in Final Fantasy. Not as famous as Malboro or Cactuar. And there are other Ruby Dragons I can think of.

Fairy Tail is very predictable no? No dragons so far. Dragon Slayers are 100+ year old although they don't realize it. Zeref (who lived 400 years ago as far as we know) knows Natsu. It's a safe bet. In some way, reincarnation, transformation the dragon slayers ARE the dragons. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Also keep in mind that the authors previous work had a dragon race that could transform from a humanlike appearance to fullscale dragons.

Considering there were scenes with Igneel talking to that shiney sparkly thing, I think it's fair to say Natsu isn't him =P

The Divine Dragon was a boss and plot point from the psx game The Legend of Dragoon. I know that black dragons are from Dungeons and Dragons, but I haven't personally heard of Dark and Yang.
