Subscribestar doesn't currently inject some kind of user specific metadata/steganographic signature (that we know about) to trace leakers, right?

Just want to make sure before I upload something (will be waiting a few days regardless just so it's less obvious who's doing it, since I just subscribed to this person very recently).

Has to be done manually as far as I know. Some people send shit individually to people and you can put the digital signatures into that and people get caught. Its usually just when people are super paranoid.

There were some third party services doing it, but it depends how the files are distributed.

Roku OS is on loads of cheap TVs. Roku got data breached causing financial damages for some users and some people locked out of their devices.

Roku's solution was to have a forced TOS update, that users can not join a class action and must do individual arbitration in Roku's desired location, and if they do not accept the terms then your Roku OS tv is locked out from use and a brick.

Yeah I physically removed the led bar from mine. It takes too much effort to not have RGB these days.

my 2007-ish PC case just had blue LED's in it, which I removed as well. The case fans also had led's embedded in them (and ran straight off of the 12V rail via molex connector!!), so i replaced those with normal arctic ones which were quieter both audibly and visually.

I think my monitor, keyboard, mouse, mobo, ram, CPU cooler, GPU all have RGB.

I forget because apart form the keyboard backlight, I have everything off.

The monitor RGB is like a backlight for dynamic ambience or aura sync or something.

I just never turn on my room lights and blast the LEDs at max brightness. Cab management for 5 strips, 7 fans, 7 HDDs in one case is quite something though.

Depends on the case, and if you have power management hubs. There are loads of RGB and fan hubs.

I can't remember if I've seen fancy HDD power distribution hubs for ages. Last time I did was probably back when I had a comp that supported hotswapping of 20 HDDs.

A cool but ultimately pointless feature. I never really used HDD hotswapping bays.

Gaming midtower a bit on the large side, not a server case. Actually quite fun to build and do cab management in this case. It weighs a ton though.

Also what's up with "gaming" cases having ventilations at the top? If you spilled your coffee or something, your rig is going dead for sure.

My desktop is on my desk, i don't like having it on the floor. It's just extra ventilation or to fit a big radiator in there. Cases are all about airflow now

someone recommended me a webcam I bought instantly without thinking about it, usb c only. really dont see why this annoying connector is on anything.
time will tell if the chinesium special usb 3 to usb c cable will save my annoyingly modern tech, last time I buy anything new for a while

The only 4090 (at a relatively sane price) I can source are ones with RGB plastered on them. I'd kill for a FE card but that model is kinda hard to come by back then (again, at a sane price).

Yeah, I needed that extra room on my table, so putting my rig on there is a no no.
