Most of my sets are from the 70s and 80s, though. From older family members. A few Star Wars themed ones as well, from later on.
I made the 'mistake' of letting a relative go through the old lego, they got some of the mini figures that are actually worth a lot now.

guessing most kids aren't 3D printing parts.
Its more schools are starting to have 3D printers for their tech engaged advanced courses even middle school. Its more high schools that are doing the robots or dev projects as roll out is fairly slow except when the govt whats to showboat.

Not a clue who Lian Li is.
Computer case manufacturer. They have done a lot of brand colabs and weird (I mean cool) flag ship cases like the model train case that works as a model train, or the walking spider test bench or the star destroyer case.
It had expansions that were carriages but I am not sure if they ever made it to market, like for a full size graphics card or more hard drives.
my core temps (on-die) max out around 60°C, and my case never gets that hot. Lots of airflow, and I don't buy retardedly expensive stuff or drive 4K monitors. So I'd probably be fine.
Should I keep my GPU fans on all the time? My colleague told me I should keep the fans on even on 40*C, even idle status needs cooling?

What card do you have? Some lower end cards are fine on passive, also depends on the air flow in your case.
Some generations of cards it was good to keep the fans on to prevent large fluctuation of temp that could affect the lead free solder over time.
Though higher end current gen cards its good idea to keep fans on because of the other components that are having longevity issues due to heat / current.

My card does 7W at idle/browsing, so its perfectly fine without the fans running. The heatsink is big enough to keep it cool enough during video playback too.
sadly enough heard about this too earlier today, real shame. I hope chrisbra or takata have the time to pick it up, he was still doing the majority of pr reviews last time I checked. hope the vim will be fine, I'd prefer to stick with it over nvim.
Yet more reason to use emacs' [www.emacswiki.org] 'evil-mode'.
(Actually it's a shame they died. But I have to plug emacs.)
[de.wikipedia.org] Jörg Schilling (of cdrecord) died a couple years back. I really liked his forks of a bunch of unix utilities (and 'pbosh', a pedantically POSIX compliant bourne shell).

Finally - a chance to flex. 1-3 watts.
webkitgtk is epiphany browser, which i am forced to use for things to work occasionally since my privacy settings in firefox are incompatible with shitty university code.
I force the fans to always run, operating under the theory that stopping and starting them will decrease their lifespan compared to just spinning constantly. It's a 750 Ti still.

1W, assuming its somewhat accurate, is impressive..
If anyone else has been annoyed yet by a twitter user who closed their account and moved to bluesky - an invite-only, worse version of Mastodon created by a bunch of former twits (twitter employees) - then let me know. I'll probably get some invite codes that I can hand out eventually.
I got in today.
Not offering this because I want Bluesky to succeed, but because of the pragmatic aspect of being able to scrape artists from anywhere.
Not aware of a scraper for bluesky yet, either, actually. But maybe some of you can help with that or something. I don't care enough about it to try to learn anything to add support into gallery-dl or whatever yet.
The public API seems more open and less draconian... for the moment.
BTW, it is worse, even if it is actually better, because someone from twitter was involved.
I'll see if the program I see written in 'go' on github is actually capable of grabbing image url's. As is typical of modern wannabe C replacement languages (like go and rust), it takes an eternity to compile and has a fuckton of dependencies.
Edit: looks like I might be able to edit the go source code for the program to just print out a dump of image URL's relatively easily. Found where it does the formatting to print out the image URL's (between the curly braces).
Unfortunately however it seems it may be impossible to access "original" versions of the images here. Everything gets resampled to 2,000 pixels wide or high and then re-jpeg'ed to hell.

Apparently the business behind Linus Tech Tips is in trouble now for sexual harassment/misconduct in the workplace. An employee felt like she had to cut her own leg open in order to have an excuse not to come in to work and not be harassed about it (in ways that male coworkers were not).
It (Linus Tech Tips) won't die, but I hope it does. Not because of the misconduct, although that'd be a good excuse I guess. I just loathe tech youtubers. Already hated Linus Tech Tips, so this is just more fodder for me to use against them and vindication of my claim that they are pieces of shit.

These days I'm hesitant to trust accusations like that. The overall bullshit-to-truth ratio isn't looking that great for the sexual harassment crowd.
LTT sure as fuck is pretty shit at giving tech advice tho.

The thread is pretty detailed. I'd consider giving it a read. It's not all just sexual harassment stuff, either. Some of it is general shitty employer tactics. Alternative, slightly less cancer way to read it [threadreaderapp.com] https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1691693740254228741.html LTT apparently has its video production on hold and is doing damage control now.

I was not treated fairly and in the moment I couldn't even see that because I was told I was the problem by people I had looked up to for years.
Imagine being so deluded that you actually look up to tech youtubers as role models instead of forming your own views and forging your own path off the beaten trail.
I don't like consoomer sheep. I also feel like I've learned more holistically why a lot of stuff works the way it does by learning about things more spontaneously and randomly.
BTW, people should 100% take anything I say with a grain of salt; I am not an unbiased "authority figure" even for stuff that I would say that I know a lot about. I'd just suggest people do some digging of their own into the sources for my claims. And ask me for evidence if I provide none.
Unless you've found yourself in total agreement often enough that I feel like some clone of you, in which case I might be able to understand taking a shortcut. You still shouldn't, though.

Yeah, I have been following her writings. Truth be told, I would rather wait and see when it comes to sexual harassment allegations. Saw more than enough cases where the accuser made shit up just to ruin what they personally despise.
I regret jumping the gun on Johnny Depp and ProJared (and other more) back then. This is not really a mistake that I'm willing to repeat tbh.

You don't understand; I myself just want LTT utterly ruined for being shit, and for feeding that shit to a bunch of people who don't know better - and fuelling hyperconsumption of unneeded goods in the process. Unneeded goods which consume more energy than they ever have before and therefore actually help to accelerate our burning of fossil fuels. And also directly making Debian worse that one time. That's my primary reason for feeling glee about some former employee's possible misery. Because I can weaponize it against something that *I* personally despise, even though I didn't make any allegations like that (apart from ruining debian, which I have proof for).
I am 100% using this as a pawn to support my agenda, which is largely the destruction of youtube and the modern tech landscape. I think tech culture was ruined by bringing more normies into it and turning it into yet another 'conspicuous spending to communicate status' game. Anything I can do to hurt shills in the pocketbook is a win for me.
Will something else even worse than LTT pop up? Probably. But I can always optimistically hope that maybe people will learn their lesson some day™.
