Cropping, re-encoding and uploading an HD video to YouTube is about as fun as a rectal exam.

Spent half a hour trying to mount a cue file, then I noticed it was a cue for a TTA file and played it in Winamp with a true audio plugin.

According to the May 2012 issue of CHIP Malaysia's review of ASUS ROG Maximus V Gene:

In the display aspect, users get to choose DVI-D, HDMI, Display Port. ASUS has done away with VGA and are looking to the future with these three connectivity options.

I think someone from ASUS had actually read my email suggesting that they should phase out VGA from their products ASAP, in favor of Display Port.

I'm pretty stoked to have a media PC I can put in the bedroom that will stream things to our other computers and the ecksbawks.

A good thing to have. I have experience with QNAP ones, and they're quite stable now, with embedded Linux which you never have to look at but can, HTTP interface/configuration, and lots of apps.

Microsoft .NET Framework spawns tons of services and is the bane of Windows Update. I stopped all of them.

Also, why the fuck would I need optimization for a system architecture that isn't mine ?

Useless for the general market. For certain areas of the private sector where security is FUCKING IMPORTANT, they make sense. Then again, the most critical of those "businesses" probably already had solutions not available to your average schmuck on hand.

Just bought a Divoom 2.1 speakers because it's cheap.

Chrome now wants userscripts to be UTF8 encoded.
Except it can't read them correctly when they're UTF8 encoded and starts derping out.
Brilliant.
