Intel has billions of dollars in their piggy bank and yet they are being stingy on thermal grease for their new flagship Ivy Bridge processors?

QUOTE(Kudowafu @ May 11 2012, 05:21) GTX 670, so tempting, but oh so expensive and I still would have no need for it. (Except some random gaming, but GTX 285 is more than enough for everything I play)
Also I love "many generation upgrades" like, have a comp for 10 years everything feels so slow, buy new comp with all newest parts everything feels so fast and crazy and just booting up the comp makes you cum.
Just ordered a GTX 670 yesterday. I'm so glad that it can handle more than 2 screens, finally don't have to switch cables anymore. I'm just pumped.

The so-called "norms" change so fast upgrading your shit isn't worth it.
I usually wait until my computer blows up to upgrade stuff and trash/fix the damaged parts. Saves a lot of money, too.

Yeah, Finally someone take the cards to 2000-century damnit, 4 monitors would be rad to have. And I agree with Mika, if you gonna go into the upgrading-game prepare your wallet, not really worth it anyways. My 5 years old comp runs everything nice and dandy, just sometimes I wish I had SSD.

Buy an Apple only if you are sure you are an Apple fanboy.

Or if you want things to just work without having to spend hours installing and configuring.

Come on, man. Any of the three major OS types. I've never had a problem with drivers or installation. Besides, I'd choose Windows or UNIX over Mac any day since I don't like being locked down like a motherfucker by my OS.

Wow! Um... I am so sorry! I didn't mean to start a war. Anyways, I will order a Microsoft desktop, and buy an iTablet. Now, can we all go back to being friends? (Or at the very least, civilized people?) I am really sorry!

Yep, the laser diode on my mouse is toast. If I could find a replacement part, I'd just fix it myself, but so far my search hasn't turned up anything.

Besides, I'd choose Windows or UNIX over Mac any day since I don't like being locked down like a motherfucker by my OS. But you aren't... it's a FreeBSD with a normal kernel, same basic commands as in all UNIXes, you just fire up the terminal, and you can do everything. They may be trying to lock the channel through which all programs come, through their AppStore, and their requirement that everything running on the OS be digitally signed by Apple developer, but they didn't do it yet. And I'm not sure if it'll ever succeed, and besides, Mac OS X isn't too popular. QUOTE(radixius @ May 15 2012, 04:18) lol iphone
Look at me! I can do one thing at a time! Aren't I cool? Now the apps can do background tasks, watch for events, alerts, and so on. This came with iOS 3 or 4, now we'll have 6, so some time ago.
