I wish I had fiber-optic Internets. Everyone and their dog has that shit here. Must be the only one with crappy DSL and 802.11b WiFi.
And the Network Center even confirms that for the WiFi part. Everyone else in the neighbourhood is using either g or n and much more secure identification.

I'm a tad off when it comes to all kinds of technology, including gaming systems.

In my country, it's only available around the national capital city. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I think it's available almost everywhere here depending on ISP and location.

I have a crappy ISP but they do fiber optics. The problem is location. And WiFi router.

Basically, I need an Ethernet router and a new home. And I'm not going to buy either of them.

Gotta get an air conditioner installed soon. Even the best CPU & GPU cooler in the market are insufficient.

Why I haven't buy a new laptop, you ask? Because my current laptop is a stubborn old bird. It fell from the baggage compartment in a bus, was accidentally dropped by my lil' bro twice while he carried it around and messed around by my 10-year old cousins like a toy, yet it refuses to die.

enjoy some of the last sites were the most advanced feature was a midi playing over and over again
Windows Vista/7 : MIDI controls removed from Volume Control because Microsoft assumed nobody was using the shit anymore.

Now you have to deal with the background MIDI when playing something that doesn't allow for ingame BGM control. I've heard of a few workarounds, but none of these work for me. I don't exactly want to use VMware or another computer with an older OS.

I hate how the only area that has wireless also comes with complementary retarded 13-year old boys, talking overly loudly (see: shouting) about how "OMG! Apple is the greatest because of custom decals" or some shit. Seriously, I hope those retards get T-Boned in an intersection by a tractor-trailer, and do not survive.

Anyone who thinks Apple is great should be run over by a steamroller.

They used to be decent a long time ago. Now that they have money and power, they no longer are, because they will sue anyone trying to steal their hard-earned monopoly and produce complete bullshit that prevents you from doing absolutely anything that isn't Apple-related.

About the Flash and Java issue, I'm aware Adobe is full of shit as well, since they're trying to prevent people from using it on mobile devices for some obscure reason. But Adobe was full of shit from the beginning because of the Acrobat series and the moment they told Macromedia "sup guys, we're going to take over your shit from now on, kthxbai".

I get to try my hand at making a phantom power box for my mic preamp later this week. My first foray into crafting my own electronics. I'm kind of excite.

I got a soldering iron ideal for PCB components for Christmas, but now I have an actual project I can actually commit to.

Just downloaded that DownloadHelper extension.

For those like me who always are ten years late on stuff and don't have it yet, I recommend it. Much more practical than retrieving YT/DM vids from your browser's cache and renaming them as valid movie files, especially when said browser chokes on them and can't cache them at all due to 1) improper configuration of individual/global cache size (PEBCAK) or 2) browser being full of shit.

Still open to better alternatives if there is any.

I ditched it years ago. Internet Download Manager does all the vid download for me now.
