Whenever I try to run VirtualBox after a couple months of not doing so, the chances of it not working approach 100%.
Meanwhile, Qemu always works but is more awkward/annoying to do some simple things in.
Today I had to run FrameMaker to decode some old N64 developer documentation. Unfortunately I don't have any hardware to run IRIX on, so I had to use a Windows VM.

If anyone has a nice method of converting old framemaker 3.x and 4.x documents to PDF's/Postscript files or similar, let me know. Printing to a PDF seems to often lose the first page when I try it in an XP VM (using framemaker 4.02). I can't find a link for framemaker 5.5.6 linux beta, which might not even work anyway as it's apparently time bombed and the binaries are also about 20 years old.

This DC to DC converter works pretty slick, gives me 13.8V from a 5S or 18/20v lithium pack. It works great with VHF radios, but unsure about an HF radio. It's only rated 20a, which is what I need, but it's 20 chinese amps. It's also more likely to have noise down there, but one way to find out..
Just discovered someone managed to put a youtube video in its signature. Now I know leaving youtube/javascript as blocked as possible even here is a good idea after all.
edit: tried to find the person again, but the signature must have been changed, not found. edit2: loli-hujan86 got it right, I wonder why I could not find it again when browsing my recently seen topics to seek it

I've recorded a movie on a length of 3h25, and it weigh 315MB I think this is gonna be ugly, if it even work. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
edit: indeed, it didn't work, it tried to record the wrong way or something I guess, I hope next attempt will work better.

I don't know if it's official policy or not for the state govt to embrace free MS Office alternative, since I noticed almost every computer in the Public Works Dept has a free Office application installed. But it's not LibreOffice. Instead it's the ad-version of either WPS Office or Kingsoft Office for whatever reason.
I finally finished watching animes from a saved old version of a result of the search engine of a site.
Now to find new animes without retrying the old, I would need to parse the old search result, save all titles that it contains in a more practical way, then come up with a script that could use this save to remove all entries in a new live search, so I can only explore new stuff. ... Just thinking of it make me confused (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) and tired (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif)
edit: oh right, the gif not appearing remind me I need to try making a script to restore the "pause gifs" feature from an extension of pre-quantum era...siiiiiiiiiigh
