Small question not worth making a thread for:
I'm looking for a 4-wire 120MM 12V or 24V fan for non-computer use, 100-150CFM or so.
It's to replace a Nidec Beta V- 120x28mm 12V 104CFM 3000rpm. The fan works, but is only two wireand I cant't speed control it.
Anybody have a recommendation?

You could just speed control it by putting a variable resistor (potentiometer; make sure it's a linear one) and a (fat, for heat dissipation) static/fixed resistor on a two wire fan to make it speed controlled by way of voltage.

In fact you don't even need a second resistor unless you want a voltage divider.

I have at least one fan that acts weird with voltage control.
I'm after something that ramps in response to temperature rise- I've actually found a few fans with integral thermistor control. Even in 120mm, what I found has rather weak max airflow though.
About 100CFM seems to be what I need at full tilt, but full speed will rarely be needed. Heat liading is rather hard to predict, but will tend to be in periods of high load with long gaps between.

You an EE?
I'm not but I wish I had had the calculus prereq's going in to college.
So instead I just try my best to understand what I'm doing and I use my oscilloscope to check if my project is doing what I expect it to.

I also scanned in the japanese cover art for Phantasy Star II.

Full resolution file is a 16571x10478 .TIF (uncompressed, only slightly smaller when LZW compressed), and includes the front cover, back cover, and spine. 48-bit RGB because why not. I won't have access to that scanner again anyway.

Is it really worth it? The MSI B450M Mortar Max is currently more expensive than the non-Max version. A RM100 (US$20-US$25) premium for a bigger Bios chip?

Is it possible run both these RAMs on the same PC? They are both Hyperx Fury modules with the same speed (2666mhz) & timings (16-18-18 @1.2V). Aside from the heatsink designs, the only other difference between FB2 & the newer FB3 models is the lower timings for the 3000mhz & 3200mhz modules of the latter.

Yes, it will equalize automatically.

A b450 chipset will allow you to OC/tweak the memory manually to your taste.

Unless something unexpected come up, today should be the big day, the day when the computer I'm writing this on right now, finally retire, to let his place to a bigger beast.
I wonder how long it will take me to configure the new thing in a satisfying way, with softwares, updates, internal config (like passwords for browser), and stuff.

I love looking at them, sometimes just for fun.
My Amiga and my VIC-20 manuals have full schematics included. I'm going to need the ones for my amiga to replace my RAM expansion module after RTC battery leakage destroyed the original board.

Why not just migrate your hard drive/SSD/whatever to the new machine?
My current debian install has been in place since it was running on a Pentium 4.

Now in the middle of installing the new thing.
Since it's late by 5 months, it's not easy to remember how I wanted to set it up (back then I thought a lot about it).
Also, the windows license must have been holding its breath until the installation was done, that would explain why it no longer work (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
...
Ah as expected being here remind here I should find something to pause gifs if it still exist.

When i was installing 7 (a few years ago) I just had to call a phone number and then it let me re-use my old license key.

It's likely to be a solution, but I'm incompatible with phones, even if it's quite possible (based on what I read) that it would be a bot on the other side.

I never had to talk to a human being, just keyed some code that the installer told me to IIRC.
The only thing it seems they need is touch tone. I tried on a rotary bell system phone and had to switch over because they didn't support pulse dialing (I had a land line at that point).
I hate phones as well, but it still only took me maybe three or four minutes maximum.
I've heard from multiple people who previously worked at microsoft that they only do all this crap with registering (individual user) license keys because stockholders want them to. They don't really care about it for anything but businesses.

Asus should not give shareware programs if they don't give the license or whatever to go with it.
If after 40 days, WinRAR stop working, but their Q-Installer thing still propose installation/update, I will complain about it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

>Keeping OEM bundled software within 50 feet of your drive
>Not using 7-zip

The whole point of bundleware is to give you a trial/demo so you're more likely to buy the licensed version.

Just realized I haven't heard the name Club 3D for a long time. Looking at their website, they are no longer competing in the custom graphic cards market.
