Pretty sure I only fucked up at the CPU (i7-6700 RM1000) & mobo (MSI B150M RM489). Maybe I should've waited for Ryzen.

Also, that Enforcer chassis was fucking ugly and it's RM100 more expensive over Gaming Freak's Moon Priestess case (RM199).
But I don't regret paying RM1500 for the HP 24" IPS monitor. Response time aren't the best but it's color reproduction made sure I'll never again go back to TN monitors. Turns out FPS games like of Crysis is playable on the HP LP2475W.
I thought CM G750M was fully modular but as it turned out it's only semi-modular. Still it was better than the GX750's mess of cables. And it's still priced at just about the same (RM300)
The Intel 120GB SSD is durable compared to that weak 60GB SSD by Patriot. So it's probably a good value at RM320.
I'm not sure why I wanted to upgrade a still working cooler though. Maybe it's because the discount, lowering 412's price down to RM189.
There's nothing to shout about the optical drive. I still need it to read DVDs and install Windows 7, software & games. Besides it was cheap at RM90. So yeah.
I got the RX480 for lowest possible price at RM1199 at the time. Different sellers tried to coerce me into buying the 8GB version, claiming the extra memory will give me more FPS.
The only thing I truly hate is that fucking AIO printer. For whatever my sister bought the biggest one possible, hogging over 1/3 of space on my desk. I plan to sabotage it, and get her to a buy a portable one this time.

Hmm, a full pc for 1100~ bucks.


When Skylake came out i was going to build a new rig,

i3-6100, Z170 board to overclock, 8-16gb 2400mhz+, rx 470, bitfenix nova, bitfenix bwg450m psu.

But after 2 months of procrastinating the place online i was going to order the parts from went bankrupt lol.


Then when Kabylake came out i wanted a G4560 with a cheapo H110 or B150 board that was flashed to support kaby but then i decided to wait for Ryzen.

So now i have a R7 1700@3.9ghz instead with a Radeon R7 250 and 32GB@3200mhz and am waiting a month or two longer for RX Vega.

You might be able to flash your RX 480 4GB to 8GB or unlock some shaders(i think).

I think your build is low storage and has an overpowered PSU, the custom cooler probably wasn't needed and you didn't mention memory.

1. Good question. No idea. Easy storage & transport when I need to remove the PSU one day. Who knows?

2. Yes, 120GB quite low. Currently waiting for 256GB price is drop, so I can install Nier: Automata; I used a online PSU calculator but that so may years ago, based on old hardware config. My mind has been stuck on 750W since then. Since you said it's overpowered, I'll lower it to 500W or 600W in the next upgrade cycle (which is 4-5 years away); I don't remember the exact price for the RAM. But they were standard DDR4-2133 4GB sticks with no heatsink. For 8GB (2 x 4GB), price should be RM300-RM350.

3. I've finished Crysis 3, Tomb Raider & Batman Arkham City. Right now I'm playing two old games Halo SPV3 Part 1 (mod) & UT2004 to pass the time until I can install Nier: Automata. Undecided on DOOM, RE7 & Bayonetta. Also still considering whether or not to try out those Japanese RPGs by Koei Tecmo.

I find wireless mice to be quite adequate. I use a Logitech MX Master and it only needs to charge once a week and I can use it while charging. I'm on my computer constantly too so it isn't a case of conserving the battery. In fact, using wired mice kinda bother me now. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

If the RX480 cannot handle Nier: Automata at 1200p, then it is time for me to splash lotsa cash on AMD Vega. Or, I can just do what I always did in the past - set everything to max (except the useless motion blur & lens flare), but lower the resolution to 800p/900p/1050p and AA to 1x/2x. That's how I was able to play Crysis, Tomb Raider & Batman Arkham at max fidelity on the midrange, factory-overclocked Radeon HD7870.

Any mid range card can handle it, and by mid range i mean anything after 750ti or Radeon 7xxx or R9 series or RX series(not RX 550).

The stupid thing about Nier is the over the top global illumination, but you can disable it and get good performance.
