Anyone has any suggestions for free mail service with some nice domain names?
Preferably anime themed.

QUOTE(chriseras @ Dec 17 2016, 04:42) Here's [ www.howtogeek.com] something to make your life more bearable. At least until you start modifying registry to keep your Windows machine from tattling to Big Brother about all your actions, which is generally where most people cross from murder spree to genocide. Usability is not really a problem right now, functionality is. This all happened in the first ~5-6 hours of utilization: - Random connection drops due to (I suspect) the system's shitty generic WLan drivers.
- All hell broke loose when I tried to the official drivers of the WiFi dongle I (used to) use. I'll spare the details, but the system now completely refuses to even recognize the WiFi dongle (not even rollbacking the drivers works) and I now have 8 new network adapters I've never seen before that seem to do absolutely nothing.
- The system already froze 3 times, and the computer was idle in 2 of those 3 times. And W10 really went for the whole freeze-all-the-things thing, even the hardware reset button stopped working (had to either cut the power or keep the power button pressed for 6 seconds to get out of it)
- The user profile really likes to randomly corrupt itself. Already happened twice. And the solution for the problem is to copy the Desktop directory (wat) into another directory buried deep within System32 that only admin users can access (literally wat)
The icing on the cake is that I'm using the LTSB edition, which is supposed to be the most stable one, not the drunkest one.

I would have immediately downgraded it to Win7 rather than leave it as Win10 if it were my media/gaming desktop. Still remember when I got a new laptop to replace one that was starting to physically fail. Came with Win10. Burned away the cancer and installed Linux. Looks like Adobe is giving money so no companies look towards HTML5 players.

Damn you, TweakTown for your blind hatred towards BvS & Suicide Squad. You shan't be missed once revenues from all the ads on your site dwindle drastically due to adblockers.

Sign...chrome, why do you say a download has completed when it isn't? Was watching anime, show ended abruptly, checks video length, 15 minutes when it should have been 25, anime watching session ruined. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

I've been using tt-rss as my RSS reader for a few years now, but I just tried Miniflux and my inner minimalist popped a moderate boner I think I'll switch

You'd think most of the most popular torrent clients would have clear and well-documented remote APIs, but nope.
Deluge: good portion of the documentation is missing (404 error) Hadouken: severely incomplete documentation, most of the methods are not even listed rTorrent: documentation reads like an ancient voodoo rite uTorrent: I'm not even sure if this can be called "documentation" Vuze: documentation literally says "just read the code"
At least qBittorrent and Transmission have pretty decent docs, though the latter reads like an RFC.

I'm back and up to speed!
Waiting to buy a used skylake system for 200-400 when dumbasses "upgrade" it for kabylake and really smart ones dumping after ryzen prices are released.
Mildly interested in the new vega 8gb hbm² nano and 16-32gb hbm² fury, although i doubt we need 512bit bus and gddr5x is enough for 4k at 60+hz(even though faster displays aren't sold).
I'm annoyed i can't buy a RX 470D.
Enjoyed reading the router hacking ITT. Atheros are #1. Netgear has always been roflquality. I was too poor for yagi and cantennas didn't work for me, wokfi did though lol. WEP sucks. WPS pin is a great backdoor and so are undocumented root accounts. Packet sniffing is oldskool reliable. Laughed at honeypotting chinese hackers. Nice to see win10 is still cancer and win7pro is still king. Reactos seems to have modernized their homepage.

Been meaning to try a WokFi parabolic though. Have some material as well as several satellite TV dishes. Oh god. Just had a crazy idea. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Put the two satellite TV dishes against each other, replace the transmitter/receivers for whatever spectrum I'm scanning for and add a motor to rotate them like a military radar scanner, then hook it up to whatever software I'd like to run on the specific spectrum.

Can't believe so many people recommend MPV. Whatever benefits it may have is probably outweighed by being needlessly troublesome to use.
Not matter how proficient in computers someone is, I can't see them preferring CLI over GUI. Yeah, because typing "mpv --shuffle /folder/*" is way easier than clicking a toggle shuffle button.
