New Django statistics are finally destroying the last argument against using Django in scale. On a single piece of hardware (32GBs of RAM) running the Django and the cache (but not the DB) it is possible to support 700k daily hits. I'm in a different situation when I want to upgrade to 10 but if I do and the research software I have probably won't work (history of not upgrading well)

I haven't upgraded to 10 yet and really don't want to because I like 7 just fine. We have until July for the free upgrade, right? I wonder if my computer will even last through the extended support for Win 7 which ends in 2020.

I thought I had finally found a good way to convert part of videos into animated png (since gif destroy color too much), but it's a failure: 30 MB for default, 13MB for color reduced, even 10MB for grayscale, no way to make it work here as an attachment (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)
