I answered on a survey that I wasn't planning on changing my desktop pc anytime soon, but that I may do it for the laptop.
Wonder if I could find myself in a situation where it could become a complete lie.

A laptop with external monitors (DP1.3 daisy-chaining), keyboard & mouse at your desk is the best future-forward setup. A tablet is not.

After buying a new and somewhat decent graphic card, I've taken to mind that I still want to keep upgrading more while still being somewhat cheap. Even after upgrading, I am never completely satisfied with the end results.

Doesn't seem to be related to VP10. Maybe they're going to make a brand new codec that will rule over VP10 & H.265. And heck, MS & Google are on the same ship (aside from W3C)!

Just watched a longplay of a game where people would think that at some point, pi would turn into binary code, providing the plan of a mysterious machine, and calling it something from god as pi is a constant of the universe.
Of course, there's no serious scientist around to point out that this is based on an algorithm to get the digits of pi that was found in a distant past, which is already suspicious, and that anybody having a huge advance in the calculation of digits of pi could have created a bogus algorithm that create for a very long time proper digit of pi, then add a completely unrelated sequence, and then whispered the bases of this algorithm to the scientists of the past that lacked the means to seriously compute pi.
Oh well, could probably happen in reality too. After all we had the epic fails of doomsday on 2000 and 2012 (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Microsoft should really just stick a fork in this thing. They could still build apps for devices people actually use and maybe not waste so much money on platforms nobody cares about.

I will find you and kill you, "Nate"! And you'll end up in in the fiery pit of Tartarus where Nightmare Moon will laugh mockingly at your torment every second, every minute! And Lord Tirek will keep on poking your man balls with his pitchfork as you struggled helplessly in the flames. And Chrysalis will suck your insides until your soul is nothing but an empty shell only to be brought back to existence by Nightmare Moon to repeat everything all over gain. For eternity!!!

I wonder if with more modern hardware, usb is still garbage.
I think about that because of my mouse randomly losing power and requiring to be replugged, and I'm not sure if it comes from the mouse, from the usb extension cable, or from my current hardware.
Also thinking I should look into how to make a full disk backup, I would really lose a lot if this stuff went down.

For gods fucking sake, to disable a fucking port that is open by default on factory settings on a netgear router i now need to:

1. Configure WINE on my Linux
2. Install the NEGEAR shitting genie as a MS windows application inside WINE
3. Connect from WINE on Linux to the router which runs a castrated Linux

I'm not buying a netgear router ever again.

Recently watched what pc (laptop and desktop) would be in my budget.
What I thought:
Huh CPU don't go over 4 cores?
Huh CPU don't go at 4Ghz or higher?
Huh resolutions don't go over 1920x1080?

Feel like tech is not improving.Don't motivate me.
