I thought outputting my laptop's display to a 24" LED TV would be a great idea. Until I found out the TV's native resolution is only 1280x720. So it doesn't look as good as I thought it'd be.

Microsoft SQL is weird

Booted into safe mode to uninstall some drivers.
System worked just fine before.
Safe mode doesn't work, screen goes black as the night.
Can't disable safe mode boot because apparently that would make my life too easy.
Recovery drive also can't detect any anomaly, so nope.

I think of myself as a patient person, but fuck Windows 8 and all the chucklefucks who made it.
I'm going back to Windows 7.

although it is all stuff we have been able to do for a long time (maybe they made some really good advances in voice recognition) i do quite like the ability for it to tell jokes its a nice touch

After years Red Hat finally updated firefox to a 30.x version; god, how horrible is to use those "chrome like" tabs on a small screen.

mutt (mail reader) is fucking awesome, I managed to organise 1200+ emails in the last two days. That would take weeks with a point and click mail reader.
