Have you taken a look at [digitalocean.com] DigitalOcean? I've used them for the last couple of months I really like their service. I've heard that Linode is good too, though a bit more expensive.

hmm... interesting digitalocean is cheaper on the low end and linode is cheaper on the high end. Thank you.
Both of them even use the same CSS/JS packages on their websites.

It's for work so it is not going directly from my pocket, although I'm sure no one will be mad if they pay 100 quit less on the hosting. I'll flip a coin (heads linode, tails digitalocean) and give it a go.

Hydrids aren't worth the price. They are slower than a SSD and less capacity than a mechanical. And more expensive

Just get an SSD

my issue with SSD is the space... the fact that i d/l a lot pushes me to the hybrid drives. What doesn't help is that the hybrid just went up 15 bucks ><

the type of user i am, i think a hybrid is far better for me.

I find cloud space pretty cheap, e.g. amazon's EBS (which is a rather expensive one) charges 5-10 american bucks (depending how often you write to it) per 100GB per month.

Any improvement to battery life is always welcomed. Too bad it won't happen in less than a year or two.

I swear to god, Prolog programmers are completely incapable of using meaningful variable or functor names.

Nah. I did the same to my laptop for a more than a year. I only reboot my laptop after installing the monthly patches from Windows Update.

Live online chat is a pretty bad idea. The techs are constantly unavailable and it's taking forever to send and receive a message. Where's the technical support through email like they have a decade ago?

FSF and EFF are rallying their members to support the Tor network. Maybe there are good points in understanding the Tor network and make ways to identify users by hashed cookies.
