LINE has all the features available in WhatsApp. So I'm not sure why all of my contacts scorned it and prefer WhatsApp as the "best" messaging app.

Android has webchat, which can connect to an IRC server. I have no clue why whatsapp is considered better than that.

Of course, IRC is perfect for hackers who want to talk without being overheard. You see, IRC is like shipping channels in the ocean: you can't see them until a boat cuts through the water leaving a wake. If two boats meet in the middle of the ocean to swap a load of illegal drugs, you have to catch them in realtime; otherwise there's no record of the meeting left behind. You should make a thread about it in FSZ.

3 years have passed and 7-Zip 9.22 is still beta. The only other new version is in alpha stage. When is the world gonna get the latest stable version of 7-Zip?

Most likely never. It's stable on beta though, maybe they're just hipsters and the "stable" will be Omega release.

[ www.neowin.net] Windows Phone development is a bottom-up approach If they thought about this approach when developing Vista, that OS wouldn't be a failure. Had Vista been successful, their job of killing XP would've been so much easier.

I'm hating the new office though, finally got used to the redesigned office so they threw that out to make it more functional on tablets and less functional everywhere else.

"The previous OS has to be shit, so the developers can learn from its shortcomings and the mistakes made in order to create a better next OS." Yeah, sounds about right. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Free µTorrent is turning into shit social media crapware.
I have never once in my life used myspace/facebook/twitter. And it's slowing down this "tiny app". Hell it gets slower every version.
Pretty soon it's gonna be azureus/vuze all over again and i'm gonna have to find a simpler minimalist alternative. Tixati is powerful but i need something less statisticky(e?)

Step aside µTorrent, Azureus, Vuze etc etc etc. You're all fuck. qBittorrent is the new King of Torrent Client!

rTorrent supports UDP trackers, and you do not get more minimalist than a program with a curses UI.

I gave kTorrent a try since transmission was being a bitch and I already have the KDE dependencies. I'm pleased with it so far.

Though I'm thinking of switching to Lighttpd. And possibly Postgres instead of MySQL.
