[ www.ipmart.com.my] Western Digital 2.5-inch Black2 Dual Drives - WD1001X06XDTL Looks promising as it won't take up too much space in the case. But expensive and I have to install software to reveal the 1TB portion of the drive. This post has been edited by hujan86: Mar 8 2014, 17:45

Interesting, I thought they were going to do a hybrid drive like Seagate but they thought of something that might one day be very cool.

Damn, I remember when my first HDD was a whopping 20 MEGAbytes. Then again, back then a fully-functional word processing program would fit into a single 360Kb floppy disk.

I think windows' notepad.exe still fits there, though I don't think you could call it fully-functional

Leafpad is only 1.3mb, but it's close. The tar is only 284k though.

It'd be cool if it is: - still reliable after the warranty period - not overpriced

I think Hybrids are going to just die, they're cool concept but too expensive. SSD's are going to get cheaper and cheaper and they can already do big SSD's too, what I find odd is that why are all SSDs the small size (2.5") when HDD slots are 3.5" (or something). They could yank up the size a bit and increase the amount of space they hold in? Maybe there's some reason for them being small at the moment, I don't know.

If I put a //TODO comment in my code, you can interpret it as "delay this until never".

I always put //test instead. It looks that little bit less professional and gives me more reason to clean it up later.

i kinda want to get the seagate hybrid drive (the dual WD drive is way to xpensive) and the cost is pretty good i think. 110 for 2tb with 8gb cache isn't that bad i think...

I'm just guessing it has to do with: - The Capacity will soon overtake HDD 3.5mm", rendering 3.5mm" clumsy and quite frankly useless since you can fit 1 extra drive after 4 drives (technically).
- There might difficulties having another card without producing additional lag between the drives
- The Cells in the SSD might burn out faster
- It might require a bigger firmware to handle two chips.

The only reasons I use Whatsapp are all friends and family members use it and other messaging apps suffered from being unknown to them. Some of them told me Whatsapp will renew itself without actually charging users, similar to the everlasting trial of WinRAR. Others were saying that there's a loophole where users can get another 1 year free service simply by deleting their current account and make a new one using the same phone number. I just want to use something free. Hopefully they all can move on to another service like Telegram or Line.

Now that Facebook bought Whatsapp you can say goodbye to all those loopholes and it being "free". They'll probably start integrating it with FB at some point, I hope not and I think they said that's not their plan but you can't trust the word of a man.

I just want to use something free. It's 0.99$ / 0.89€ a year, it's not like you need a mortgage loan to pay for it

Anyone tried or thought about using SSDs in their console?
