This is the only computer remotely like this, the chances of anyone being able to make a third party BIOS update to easily install this memory are slim to none, I should get working on editing the last one in IBM format.

Seagate - not surprising at all. But Hitachi being more reliable than Western Digital? I'll be damned!
Not that surprising, cost competition has meant that Seagate shifted production multiple times, cut its warranty and quality control. Seagate was the most reliable traditional hard drive brand five or so years ago. Then they shifted production and had a raft of firmware issues. Western Digital was the worst at one stage, their large consumer drives are still horrific, however they released high priced very good quality drives as well. Hitachi's deskstar line or deathstar used to be a horrific drive to buy, at one stage considered the worst on the market. However their quality control and engineering obviously has improved vastly.
Gmail was down worldwide around 19h GMT today/yesterday. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) How someone manages to screw up something that big?
GoboLinux is a modular Linux distribution - it organizes the programs in a new, logical way. Instead of having parts of a program thrown at /usr/bin, other parts at /etc and yet more parts thrown at /usr/share/something/or/another, each program gets its own directory tree, keeping them all neatly separated and allowing the user to see everything that's installed in the system and which files belong to which programs in a simple and obvious way.
I like the idea, but the linux distro which can't be installed from USB easily in 2014 is preposterous.
I was very skeptical about the utility of gdipp and boy, was I wrong It's like I just entered a magical land full of happiness, joy and decent font rendering
So my country is not net neutral - only second worse behind South Korea. But I shall not stop downloading via Torrent because it rocks! (since file sharing sites are not as dependable as they did many years ago)
