I keep the PSU on the floor, the cables snaking out of the case because it's entirely open after i took off all the plating it had so it now looks like a steel frame skeleton.
It's probably not grounded either.
Disconnected floppy and all CD drives with dangling wires.
Stack of hard drives with dust on them.
Yea, i'm a pro at pc's.
I keep my tower on 24/7, it's been like this for about 8 years and it hasn't failed me yet.
Supposedly the most damage you can do to your PC is to turn it on, the cold boot startup charge will wear out the electronics more rapidly then keeping it powered on constantly.
