QUOTE(tiap @ Oct 15 2013, 21:06) Microsoft should drop backslashes as path separators already. Vista, 7 and 8 already have no problem parsing paths that use proper slashes. Probably XP too. Too bad the userbase is too retarded to accept it.

QUOTE(radixius @ Oct 15 2013, 05:56) As a person that has to deal with DV based video files on a daily basis, I would much rather be back to working with MPEG, but with the captioning issues we had with MPEG it wasn't really viable.
Editing with mpeg was faily easy but then there was an explosion of codecs. I still find it easier these days compared to when there were 20 codecs with multiple variants and third party mods/hacks in use.

Lol. On another note, whenever i search something on my XP the statusbar on the bottom of that window shows me Chinese(under certain circumstances i'm not entirely sure of) and i don't know why since i never installed anything Chinese...well apart from a few games which i then patched to English.

I don't understand why so many people are against it, they're functionally the same thing, just sorted differently. Folks sure are stupid.

Why does no body think of the tech support with remote access? XD they were the ones bitching a lot because there were a lot of short cuts taken out, and some instances where you could get stuck when win 8 first came out. Win8 was fantastic for tablets and touch screens, not so great for standard computers at least until a month later.

As far as I recall, Windows 8 uses the same exact kernel as Windows Vista and Windows 7 except when it comes to Metro applications which is basically just HTML 5 with a few modifications. And I really don't understand the tablets and touch screens argument when the mouse acts as your index finger, it's the same gesture in every way. I'll never get how people can separate the two, I mean, you're using your goddamn index finger to click the fucking button anyway, so what's the difference? ALPINE EDIT: Besides, Remote Desktop Connection was still on there as long as you weren't a kneejerk fuckwad and looked around a bit. Or just start typing Remote on the Start Screen and it'll show up for you! It's like magic but with a computer! This post has been edited by radixius: Oct 20 2013, 06:14
